December 8, 20195 yr The actual version of Dumb Blonde (with Nicki Minaj) isn’t on the album, so yes it is similar bye That's like saying it's similar to, for example, Lover and the Shawn version not being included on Taylor's album. Dumb Blonde is on Avril's album, whether it's the Nicki version or not. My Oh My just... isn't there at all. Completely different.
December 8, 20195 yr Yeah it’s more common for artists to release “remixes” or duet versions of tracks when they become singles. Little Mix have done it quite a few times and Ed recently did it on his collabs album too with the Stormzy track. This isn’t one of those scenarios it seems like an error to me. It’s track 4 on the digital version as well usually when there’s digital only tracks they’re like the last track on the album.
December 8, 20195 yr So Living Proof is on Radio 1 playlist, My Oh My is on Apple Music Hot Hits and getting the streaming push And East is getting the live performances promo... Which one is she pushing? Easy sounds like the biggest hit to me
December 8, 20195 yr #7 on Apple Music Streaming album chart in UK (Technically #3 tbh bc 3 compilations are above it plus Harry’s album what isn’t out yet).
December 8, 20195 yr Listened through the album today. It's ok, not as good as her debut and most of the best songs were already released as singles or promos. Can't hear any of the new tracks being big hits
December 9, 20195 yr The album does what it says on the tin, too many dreary and soppy songs, could have used a couple more bops.
December 9, 20195 yr On first impressions, My Oh My is the obvious standout from the album. Probably the closest thing to a Havana type hit. The "he's only here for one thing but (so am I)" line  I hope Camila pushes this in the new year with a killer video. This Love is cute too but not in a big hit kind of way. Kind of reminds me of Rih's Love On The Brain musically.
December 9, 20195 yr A December release was always an absolutely terrible idea for her :( I don't think it's totally impossible that it could show some decent enough longevity into the new year, though Living Proof is not the song they should be pushing (My Oh My is such an obvious hit!)
December 9, 20195 yr It's just been so messy 😭😭😭 it angers me how badly her team have messed up what could've been a decent era.
December 9, 20195 yr I really don't understand how the label thought a December release was a good idea given how poor the singles have performed! They really should've waited a month longer, put MOM out as a grat and let that take off right before the album release.
December 9, 20195 yr 16 in midweeks, it's over for her. This era at least. Bit premature. Tbf though if the label aren't competent enough to handle the release, they probably aren't competent enough to recover it successfully. My Oh My needs to be pushed ASAP with new single mixes and all. Hopefully she has some UK promo. Syco should be trying harder since she's their only artist these days. December 9, 20195 yr The UK situation isn’t that terrible. Rihanna’s Rated R debuted at #16 here and that went double platinum in the end and peaked in the new year. Last year Rita and Clean Bandit debuted outside the top ten and both albums had longevity. Camila might peak low but it doesn’t mean it’s over. She’s a streaming friendly artist who has potential to get some form of chart run behind her after the Xmas period is over. She could’ve went top ten easily if this was a January release though. We haven’t seen the sales info yet. Sales wise it might be as bad as it looks like on paper. I’m quietly confident that when Xmas is over and we get to January this album will easily manage to return to the low top 40 and we will see something from the album take off. She’s had a promo slot this week too so hopefully we get more of those. But yeah a December release is like not a good idea unless you’re literally a mega star or someone who can sell to the older demographic. I just hope Syco don’t abandon the UK based off its week one performance because there’s so much what can be done if they just give it a chance. Edited December 9, 20195 yr by Jordan Lee
