THIS!!

Yeah let's quickly change the subject because you can't explain how 86% of the video is bland or give any coherent response to anything I've said. You prefer BR to Telephone so therefore Telephone is SO BLAND!!!!!!! A LOGIC like no other.

Can we discuss how Paparazzi, Alejandro, Born This Way, Marry the Night, G.U.Y. all try to recreate Thriller.

Can we discuss how every video from Gaga bar Bad Romance and John Wayne are less "lacking strong features or characteristics and therefore uninteresting." than Telephone.

Just act like his posts don't exist. It makes the BJ forum experience a lot more tolerable x

1. Apart from the odd good moment/ costume, the video is bland and boring

2. It wants to be a Thriller, but ends up being a What Comes Around Goes Around by Whine

3. Beyonce cannot handle the GaGa craziness

4. It was obvious she was running out of ideas and so threw everything but the iamspamspamamisink, which she kept dor Born This Way

How can something be bland yet also include Gaga craziness and all her campy maximalist ideas thrown at it?

I'm fully expecting there to be articles on the impact of the video next year for the ten-year anniversary — both it and Bad Romance made music videos an event again. It certainly hadn't been like that for a while. You might not like the song or have issues with the video but you can't pretend like it wasn't a moment outside of Buzzjack.

My issue with Telephone has always been the song — but I understand why people like it. It's a bop. I just found the rest of The Fame Monster more interesting and more Gaga — Telephone just felt like something she wrote for another artist and pressured into keeping for herself.

5. Fans overhype it because of Beyonce, who is herself overhyped

Exactly my thoughts on the song too! It's fun and a bop as you say but also very throwaway by Gaga's standards. I also always feel like it needs another verse or something to add more oomph and less of the choruses.

Not continuing THAT discussion ~ but how incredible is the Judas video? My favourite thing about it is the COLOURS. It's so vibrant and the colour palette is exquisite. *.*
The Judas video is everything  The outfits, the choreo, the storyline, the fact Norman Reedus is in it, the fact it's so provocative. Ugh, just Gaga at her absolute best.

I just watched the video again.

Remove the wacky costumes and what is left? Some horrendous prison scenes, boring dances, and some good bits sprinkled in. Bland wasn't the word, although the dancing parts REALLY ARE, but it is boring.
