The 2014 version of 'Do They Know It's Christmas?' perhaps?

Yeh and River but the last Xmas song to be number one on Xmas day was Band Aid 20 I think

River :basil:

YOU TRIED IT.

Can we permaban this user pls, it's antagonizing us true fans x

I wonder if/how well this will chart on the New Years chart. It’ll have the massive Xmas day streams for that chart but then not much else throughout the week, but then there’s the fact the charts are quite weak just now
It will probably fade off alot at that point but still chart, part of me thinks she has a chance of a 3 week number 1 or definitely next week aswell, I'd love it to be the christmas number 1 but if it isnt I'm just happy its finally got to number 1.

I sort of hope it’ll be number one until January now with Taylor being the only real threat and then a download campaign on Xmas week. Then January will have a new number one to start the year.

Xmas day streams will be 1.3m or so which is huge and then Boxing Day will be 250-300k then 27th 100k then see you next Halloween for it. So it’ll be top 40 most likely until the 7th January

Mariah shading the UK Top 40 chart or whatever that shenanigans is called. We love to see it.
posted this in the hot 100 thread last week and it might be too early to tell but if she ends up repeating the ‘90s and goes to #1 every year this decade solely bc of this song

Its amazing, waits years for number 1 and is now number 1 there 2 years in a row, in the uk it took years aswell and is now looking like getting its 2nd week.
Think this is a view of how the UK will look in future years with Mariah too
The Irish chart seems a bit slower to embrace Xmas this year, Mariah only at 22 and rising currently
Brenda Lee is actually gaining faster than Mariah and has overtaken her on Spotify in the US. I would kind of live for Brenda also getting her turn at the Hot 100 #1 this year.

Its still the highest Christmas song in the charts, in last weeks official chart Mariah was Number 5 here in Ireland up from Number 10.
