This has suddenly jumped up to #52 on itunes? Surely thats not just the Xmas effect as its done nothing all month so far, has it been used in a TV advert or something?

Nice if it could chart this week as i thought it would be back in the charts by now.

I think this will perform slightly better every year. Maybe a cute top 40 in 2 years or so? It still needs to be added to Christmas playlists on Spotify. I think it's only in 1 big one.

SO underrated, it's gorgeous. Leigh-Anne's vocals in that first chorus send shivers up my spine. I get people wanted an upbeat but they do this type of ballad so well, it gives me F.U./Notice vibes, two of their most underrated album tracks.

I heard it in Morrisons yesterday, give it a couple more years, most Christmas songs are slow burners, it only took 37 years for Last Christmas yo get to Number 1 LOL

Well it took me a few years but I've really warmed up to this song now. 2019 I was so disappointed in it, and 2020 / 2021 I gave it occasional plays... but now I'm thinking it's actually quite gorgeous. *.* I got there in the end!

 

I do wish at some point during their run they'd worked on an uptempo original Christmas song though. Although I regularly play the Christmas Mix of Love Me Like You, that's the next best thing!

Over 700K total spotify streams yesterday - peak since its release. Also just noticed it's entered the Spotify charts of a number of European countries, but not the UK. How odd!

Power of a Christmas single!

It's now their 38th most-streamed song on Spotify. Only a handful of their really famous album tracks have more streams (Oops, Love Me or Leave Me, album version of few singles, etc).

By next few Christmases, I wonder where it would be!

I always felt it was super underrated, it has a firm placement on all of my Christmas playlists (along with the Christmas Mix of Love Me Like You), I'd love to see it get a cert in the next couple of years. If only it was given slightly more budget for the video.

They should release it during their Glory days era. It would have been more successful.

They should have released a banger. Nobody wanted a mid tempo! We wanted our own All I Want for Christmas…/Underneath The Tree/Santa Tell Me type of modern day pop BANGER! :cry:
