New deluxe version with these three new tracks plus the four previously released remixes and the live version of "Scared To Live" out now.

Wonder if it was always the plan to release those three new tracks now or if it's to help streaming whilst physicals and TV promo are on hold?

I’m always happy for new Weeknd music but when his album come out just last week and he does this!

I’m guessing and hoping these will be just streaming only tracks. If they get added to the actual CD of this when I’ve just bought it I swear

I’ve caved and bought the three new tracks on iTunes!

Will listen to the entire album again with the new tracks later tonight

I will say that The Weeknd IS that Male artist for me though! I just think he’s so talented, such a great singer and I love the switch ups he’s done in both image and musical style too. He deserves all the success that’s going to come his way.

Personally I think it was probably the plan to perhaps do it later in the year. I don’t think he’d need help keeping his streams up this soon into a campaign. I imagine the album will likely have slightly less of a second week drop to usual though

Blinding Lights is now #1 on the BB Hot 100

Excellent, really happy about that given the below par Heartless got these and BL didn't at first!

Lmao, I can see why these three tracks were bonus track exscluives. 3 borefests of songs and really not needed. Don't think i'll be returning to them, when the standard album works so well as a complete package.

Completely agree, I took a listen yesterday and they all sounded exactly the same to me with no real melody.

I do quite like some of the remixes, the Blaze version of the title track is a fave.

(tracks 4-6 were a bit of a lull but it was great before and after that x).

I take this back - I've gone back to 'Escape From LA' and 'Snowchild' and they've both grown on me a lot. Actually basically every song on this album has been a grower and that's with me already really liking most of them from first listen anyway lol! ~ 'Scared To Live' is the only song that I'm not super into really (and 'Repeat After Me (Interlude)' / 'Until I Bleed Out' but they work well on the album, just not songs I'd go back to outside of that context). 'Save Your Tears' has emerged as my fave after a few listens and maybe my favourite song ever from The Weeknd, it gives me kind of similar vibes to Post Malone's 'Circles', just seems like an immediately timeless chorus. 'Faith' is a close 2nd though, the outro on that song

Also really enjoying The Blaze's remix of 'After Hours' from the deluxe edition - haven't heard the bonus tracks yet, not gonna have high expectations from the comments in here about them but the album itself is great enough that it doesn't really matter if the bonus songs aren't up to par x

Think this is a strong rival to Bombay Bicycle Club for my album of the year so far. <3

Nothing Compares is fantastic!! And I like Final Lullaby too.

I think this is really cohesive tbh. I listened to the 17 track edition today and it flowed very well some tracks even merge into each other Madonna Confessions style.

Also I really slept on Save Your Tears!

That needs to be a single! But I will definitely go back to this as a whole album time and time again.

He’s such a talent and his voice

I can’t wait to see him on tour.

We really need an album Surviour rate for this in a few weeks when the albums more familiar to people although I imagine there’s a clear winner for that.

Agree re: Save Your Tears, it could easily be the next single if he pushes one
