I wonder if streaming and playlists will make the big songs decrease over time, and level all Xmas songs out to similar numbers in the end? Especially as I was finally introduced to 2000 Miles, Snow Is Falling All Around Us, A Spaceman Came Travelling, I Believe in Favva Xmas and Please Don't (Stop The Cavalry) this yesr just due to streaming! Thry immediately took Britney and her utter shite pop out of my Xmas playlists. To think I'd listened to that a few times every year, when actual decent songs were out there!! Finding them mean I play Leona and Mariah less, as they now have to share time with these other songs I've just discovered!! I bet ti's the same for a lot of people.

Hahaha why do you always call Shakin Stevens Snow is Falling!!

There’s actually less songs over 1 million than last year, 13 last year 9 this year so I doubt it’ll be the whole top 20 any year soon

Even though Mariah and Wham’s numbers are down a little on last year, most of the songs I’m 20-40 range are quite a bit up on last year’s numbers

In 2017 it was only the top 5 over a million so maybe just evening out this year.

Spotify Chart Update (25/12)
Kworb is updated so I've edited in the NEW PEAKS - there's quite a lot of em.

I knew little mix wouldn't do brilliant but I expected it to do much better than it did.

I predicted this massive, gigantic lìttle shets flop :P Should've listened to me y'all.

Looking at their previous chart history it wasn't such a reach to think this would do reasonably well.

Even if you halved all the streams for songs on ACR, Christmas songs would make up the Spotify top 25...

Bruce Springsteen has a top 40 sales hit and a top 40 Spotify hit in 2019, without getting anywhere near the real Top 40

They're absolutely finished and the song is atrocious. I knew it wouldn't be top 50. Check the predictions thread :P

I've no doubt they're over as a chart force, prob greatest hit next November with one new single from it!

Last Xmas day the top 50 were all Xmas songs. Closest new track was Ava max at 57!

Lmao I know right?! That's exactly what will happen! Hopefully the next girl band will be 10x better and 100x more authentic.

It won't be a Greatest Hits, unless their current plans change... because they recently confirmed that they'll release their 6th studio album in 2020.

It'll be "conditional", a la Cheryl and Katy!

10 years too many tbf XmasSteve.

They are in a very tricky position. A Greatest Hits feels the right move now to try and remind people that have fallen off why they liked them. Only problem is they have released only 3 singles (one a flop xmas single) with their new label, who I'm sure don't want to release a GH and earn little to nothing from it.

Most girl and boy groups have a 4/5 year life span.
