211 5 Seconds of Summer - Teeth | 9-13-21-36-x

212 Louise - Stretch | 15-12-18-32-x

213 Louis Tomlinson - Don't Let It Break Your Heart | 10-14-22-37-x

214 Camila Cabello - Shameless | 8-16-25-36-x

215 Mabel - Don't Call Me Up | 9-15-19-34-x

216 Louis Tomlinson - Two of Us | 8-18-27-x

217 Casey Lowry - Nervous | 9-15-25-36-x

218 Ashley Tisdale - Love Me & Let Me Go | 9-17-40-x

219 Ariana Grande - bloodline | 17-29-x

220 Conan Gray - The Other Side | 17-12-22-37-32-x

One of my breakout stars of the year is Conan Gray, who makes his first appearance of four with The Other Side just as his debut album has been announced for a March release! Top 20 hits begin to thin out now with my favourite non-single from Ariana's thank u, next album at #219 - what a missed single opportunity :( - and Louise's comeback single Stretch at #212. Other than that, this section is all about relatively fleeting top 10 hits, mostly from big Joseph favourites like 5SOS, Camila Cabello and Louis Tomlinson, as well as Ashley Tisdale's first track to hit the top tier. She's still got the album title track in the running even though it was never a single! Mabel's massive chart hit Don't Call Me Up also features here, alongside Casey Lowry's first appearance of three, all of which were top 10 hits.

201 Joel Adams - Kingdom | 8-15-27-33-x

202 Benjamin Ingrosso - Costa Rica | 7-15-33-x

203 Casey Lowry - You Told Me You Loved Me | 7-17-28-x

204 In Real Life - Hurt for Long | 8-11-23-37-x

205 P!nk - Walk Me Home | 26-8-16-26-40-x

206 Harry Styles - Sunflower, Vol. 6 | 10-26-…

207 Trevor Moran - Sinner | 16-22-20-21-29-x

208 Emma Bunton - Baby Please Don't Stop | 8-16-35-x

209 Tom Odell - Summer Day | 6-14-30-x

210 HRVY - Told You So | 8-16-33-x

HRVY consolidated himself in "easy top 10 debut" territory this year with Told You So hitting the top tier, though it didn't have much in the way of staying power. Tom Odell's song for the MOOMINVALLEY soundtrack proved strong in week 1 but faded quickly - not one of his best but a cute moment! Emma Bunton became the 2nd solo Spice Girl to get a top 10 hit, after Mel B's #7 smash For Once In My Life, while Trevor Moran finally scored a third hit almost 4 years after his first two, notably #1 hit Let's Roll. P!nk nabbed a top 10 hit with Walk Me Home, and although it was her biggest chart hit this era, there's one song I preferred still to come. The first of Harry Styles' seven top 10 hits of 2019 is at #206 in the form of Sunflower, while In Real Life and Benjamin Ingrosso make their only 2019 appearances in this section. Casey Lowry features again, and Joel Adams' middle track in the countdown only just misses my top 200.

Yes at Sam Feldt's Post Malone appearance. It should have been much higher though. :P

191 Alice Chater - Tonight | 10-12-19-31-x

192 Boy In Space - California | 9-13-26-x

193 Madison Beer - Dear Society | 18-8-21-27-x

194 Reed Deming - I Don't Know | 8-15-26-36-x

195 AJ Mitchell - Talk So Much | 19-9-18-36-x

196 Gryffin & Carly Rae Jepsen - OMG | 9-16-33-x

197 Casey Lowry - Boyfriend | 9-12-22-33-37-x

198 Brendan Murray - If I'm Honest | 7-18-33-x-23-x

199 Normani - Motivation | 9-14-24-28-x

200 New Rules - 24 Hours | 9-17-34-x

The first section filled with top 10 hits, we're starting to move closer and closer to the big hitters. New boyband New Rules scored their first hit with 24 Hours, released a couple of weeks after I saw them supporting Julia Michaels. Definitely their best song to date! Normani's solo breakthrough hit comes in just above with help from one of the best music videos of the year, while we see other breakthrough hits in my chart for Brendan Murray and Alice Chater also feature here. Casey Lowry's top song is #197 with catchy indie-pop tune Boyfriend, and Gryffin teamed up with Carly Rae Jepsen to create the really solid OMG. Carly has no further songs in the countdown but Gryffin still has one more. Madison Beer's Dear Society and AJ Mitchell's Talk So Much debuted next to each other, peaked next to each other and spent the same number of weeks in the chart - they're just 2 spots apart here, too. Madison has one more song to come while AJ has three more, out of his total of six. Sandwiched in between is Reed Deming's first top 10 hit in a year and a half, which was a hit over the summer for me. Finally, Boy In Space's fourth highest song out of six is at #192.

181 Bars and Melody - Waiting For the Sun | 3-15-26-x

182 Michael Schulte - All I Need | 8-19-33-x

183 Tamta - Replay | 19-x-8-31-x

184 City Girls feat. Cardi B - Twerk | 24-7-13-22-x

185 Cheat Codes & Kim Petras - Feeling of Falling | 8-16-22-29-33-x

186 Little Mix feat. Ty Dolla $ign - Think About Us | 38-38-x-6-12-25-33-x

187 Lizzo - Truth Hurts | 21-19-17-20-27-x

188 Dahl - Think About Us | 8-18-23-29-37-x

189 Alexander Stewart - Shy | 9-21-26-x

190 Lucie Silvas - Black Jeans | 38-10-14-21-29-x

Despite my usual excellent stanning (vote for me as biggest stan in Buzzjack Awards x), I basically missed Black Jeans being released as the fourth single from Lucie Silvas' fourth album E.G.O. so I charted it quite late. It became the third top 10 hit from that album, and possibly my favourite of them all! Alexander Stewart's touching ballad Shy is at #189 - I'd forgotten just how cruel I was in that chart run - marking his fifth highest song out of six. Trevor Dahl appears twice in this section, once on his own at #188 with his now-deleted song Think About Us, and also at #185 as a member of Cheat Codes on the catchy Feeling of Falling, which gave Kim Petras her first hit. Another Think About Us features in between, courtesy of Little Mix and their only 2019 appearance in my EOY. Also in between is one of a select few top 20 hits to be in my top 200 - Lizzo's Truth Hurts proved to be a sleeper hit not just for the world, but me too! City Girls and Cardi B teamed up for the extremely addictive trash anthem Twerk at #184, and Michael Schulte's All I Need is his first appearance of two at #182. The final 2 songs in this section both had big TV performance boosts - of course, Tamta performed Replay at Eurovision for Cyprus, and Bars and Melody performed Waiting for the Sun on Britain's Got Talent: The Champions, becoming their joint-highest charting hit, matching 2014 debut Hopeful.

Summer Day is a decent song from Tom but like you say not his best - I've never seen MOOMINVALLEY but how on earth did they manage to get so many big singers on the soundtrack?!

Giving If I'm honest a listen now, quite liking it! The sort of music I'm really into right now, shame I didn't discover it earlier!

171 The Veronicas - Think of Me | 5-16-31-x

172 Luke Friend - SUNSHINE | 6-12-20-31-x

173 HRVY - Million Ways | 8-11-26-35-x

174 Luca Hänni - She Got Me | 6-25-x

175 Isac Elliot - Somebody Else | 5-10-20-28-x

176 Camila Cabello - Liar | 14-26-31-19-13-19-22-27-x

177 Harry Styles - Golden | 9-24-…

178 FELIX SANDMAN - MOOD FOR YOU | 7-12-20-25-36-x

179 BTS - Euphoria | 9-21-x

180 The Chainsmokers & Bebe Rexha - Call You Mine | 8-16-32-x

Charting in one of the busiest weeks of the year, both songs at the bottom of this section made their debuts, and feature pretty highly considering their short chart runs! The Chainsmokers actually scored two hits in my chart this year and Call You Mine, also one of three Bebe Rexha top 10s, is the first to drop out. BTS album track Euphoria is just one spot above, despite being one spot below when both songs debuted. The song is a solo track by Jungkook that really clicked with me after attending their concert at Wembley Stadium. In a separate busy week, Felix Sandman scored a #7 hit with MOOD FOR YOU, matching the peak of previous hit MIDDLE OF NOWHERE (still to come). Harry Styles' third appearance is Golden, the anthemic opening track from Fine Line, and Camila Cabello scores one of the highest non-top 10 hits with Liar, outdoing the simultaneous #8 peak of Shameless quite notably in the EOY standings. Isac Elliot's Somebody Else wasn't quite up to the #1 levels of previous song Waiting Game (to feature later), but still scored his fourth top 10 hit of the year, while HRVY scored yet another top 10 hit with Million Ways, his most recent track. Sandwiched in between is Eurovision track She Got Me by Luca Hänni, a song that truly clicked with me during the contest itself. Luke Friend's musical comeback SUNSHINE landed him with his fifth top 10 in my chart, and The Veronicas scored their highest peak to date with the.... interesting lyrics of Think of Me at the start of summer.

161 Harry Styles - Falling | 8-22-…

162 Bebe Rexha - Last Hurrah | 7-12-28-34-x

163 Miki Núñez - La Venda | 27-20-25-39-x-3-16-x

164 Why Don't We - With You This Christmas | 4-9-15-12-…

165 benny blanco, Tainy, Selena Gomez & J Balvin - I Can't Get Enough | 4-9-19-29-x

166 Kehlani feat. Ty Dolla $ign - Nights Like This | 38-x-5-8-20-27-x

167 Isaiah - What Happened to Us | 7-18-26-33-x

168 MARINA - Handmade Heaven | 10-18-33-x

169 Samuel Daayata feat. Isac Elliot - Throw Popcorn | 14-6-13-24-39-x

170 John Lundvik - Too Late For Love | 17-32-14-38-x-4-24-x

We have the highest two Eurovision tracks in this section, surprisingly low though it's notably not the end of Eurovision altogether thanks to national final tracks! Sweden's John Lundvik is at #170, and my favourite of the year, Spain's Miki, is at #163. Former Eurovision artist for Australia Isaiah released two songs in 2019 - only one is in my EOY, and What Happened to Us gave him his fourth top 10 hit. Isac Elliot pops up again at #169 with Throw Popcorn, a song he wrote with the winner of his "I Wrote a Song for You" competition named after his song of the same name. Samuel Daayata was the lucky winner, and he scored his first top 10 with his debut hit. Another low top 10 hit came for Marina in 2019 - she now has three to her name, none higher than #9! Nights Like This is at #166 after becoming Kehlani's second top 10 hit, and first as a lead artist, while benny blanco's first top 10 hit is just one spot above, with help from a host of artists, notably Selena Gomez. Why Don't We provide the first of several new original Christmas songs in this countdown, losing the second of their ten entries this year. Bebe Rexha and Harry Styles both feature again in this section - the former makes her last appearance of 2019 with the criminally underrated Last Hurrah, and the latter shows up with yet another album track, the very emotional Falling.

Nice to see some Harry Styles songs, as well as "She Got Me", "Liar", "Too Late For Love", "I Can't Get Enough" and "La Venda" on your list!

Not sure I realized 'Nights Like This' made your top 5  Taste!

151 PRETTYMUCH feat. Lil Tjay - Lying | 7-11-22-32-x

152 Michael Schulte - Back to the Start | 7-15-32-x

153 CNCO - Pretend | 6-11-21-27-37-25-35-x

154 Avril Lavigne - Tell Me It's Over | 6-8-13-22-33-x

155 Elliot - i hope for rain | 6-10-15-29-x

156 BLACKPINK - Kill This Love | 8-13-21-30-x

157 Cher Lloyd - M.I.A | 8-11-25-39-x

158 Ava Max - So Am I | 7-14-21-27-x

159 Gabrielle Aplin - Kintsugi | 28-9-13-20-38-x

160 Conan Gray - Checkmate | 17-10-13-24-33-x

I bumped Conan Grey's Checkmate up about 10 spots yesterday because I've recently found myself revisiting it in the way of his album announcement! It's a great anthemic pop track with one hell of a chorus, and scored him his second top 10 hit of three last year, though both of the others are still to come. Gabrielle Aplin scored a comeback hit with Kintsugi, her first top 10 since Panic Cord in 2013, thanks to BJSC impact. Also revisiting the top 10 is Cher Lloyd, though M.I.A came only a year after previous top 5 hit None of My Business. It's a really great bubblegum pop anthem, proving Cher's still got it. Also flying the bubblegum pop flag in this section is Ava Max, though So Am I doesn't fare as well as Sweet But Psycho did last year, or as well as Torn will later in the countdown. One of only two K-Pop acts to make my top 10, BLACKPINK scored their second top 10 with Kill This Love in 2019, while Latin pop group CNCO delivered their first Spanglish single (not counting the Reggaetón Lento remix) in the form of Pretend, a very underrated track that deserved to remove their one-hit wonder status in the UK. Breakthrough artist Elliot scored his first top 10 with i hope for rain in late November, while Avril Lavigne's Tell Me It's Over debuted roughly a full year beforehand, giving Avril her fourth top 10 hit out of a total that later became five. Michael Schulte's best performing song finishes at #152, and PRETTYMUCH make their first of two 2019 appearances at #151, also giving Lil Tjay his first and so far only hit.

141 jens - Wish I Was Right For You | 10-14-23-30-x

142 Zara Larsson - All the Time | 5-12-17-31-x

143 Katy Perry - Small Talk | 1-4-11-17-27-x

144 Freya Ridings - You Mean the World to Me | 23-2-10-18-34-x

145 CXLOE & gnash - SICK | 5-13-17-26-37-x

146 Ariana Grande - break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored | 11-11-9-13-17-23-33-x

147 Cardi B - Money | 36-x-18-9-15-21-31-x

148 Tove Lo - Glad He's Gone | 7-12-22-32-x

149 Bishara - Love Don't Let Me Down | 7-14-25-x

150 Margaret - Tempo | 5-12-22-x

It's in this section where we lose our first top 5, top 2 AND #1 hits quite interestingly! Margaret's Tempo is the former, reaching #5 in a week where the entire top 5 was brand new. It was her third top 10 hit, all three of which being Eurovision national final contenders, though she's yet to get as far as the main contest. Fellow Melfest artist Bishara is just one spot above with Love Don't Let Me Down, though his actual Melfect entry is still to come. The first top 2 song to drop out is Freya Ridings' You Mean the World to Me, a song that took advantage of a slow week and a strong second half of the week to power up my chart, but it didn't end up hanging around for long and it's certainly not better than 2018's #5 hit Lost Without You (which placed at #42 in my EOY). The first #1 for us to lose is Katy Perry's Small Talk - another song that took advantage of a quiet week and its competition dying down (it dislodged Why Don't We's I Still Do after a rare 2 weeks at the top). Katy still has two songs to appear, though neither actually managed to get to #1 interestingly.

Tove Lo's Glad He's Gone debuted in one of the busiest weeks of the year, where the entire top 5 was new, so it was impressive to see it debut at #7 and as a result, it has a comparatively strong showing here in the top half of my countdown. Cardi B's Money also has a strong showing for a #9 hit, side-by-side with Ariana's third highest of six entries in this countdown. My highest placed BJSC entry EVER by CXLOE and gnash appears at #145, actually the lowest of my eight 2019 entries to place in this countdown...! Nevertheless a positive showing for a song that quickly got pushed out of the top 10. Zara Larsson's All the Time is also a short-lived top 5 hit from this section, though it vastly outdid both of her other actual singles from this era. Finally, Norwegian artist jens appears for the first time out of three with the gorgeous Wish I Was Right for You, one of a record-breaking 9 songs to enter my top 10 in that week.

Bloodline might be my least favourite track off TUN but it's still a great tune.

Very nice to see Shameless & Liar both make appearances for Camila. Loved her 2019 output.

Motivation & Think About Us will both appear high up in my chart. Motivation surely has got to be the video of the year at least.

Kill This Love & Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored are two huge contenders for my EOY #1. Shame to see them drop out already.

Kill This Love and Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored

So Am I, a slightly controversial opinion but I preferred this to 'Sweet But Psycho'.

137 Ruel - Face To Face | 13-22-25-31-36-10-12-20-27-x

138 HRVY - I Don't Think About You | 4-7-15-20-28-x

139 AJ Mitchell - All My Friends | 15-21-16-19-24-28-x

140 Post Malone feat. Young Thug - Goodbyes | 9-16-14-18-28-34-x

We're very quickly moving into the realm of top 5 hits as this section proves, but first, let's touch on the highest non-top 10 hit of the year. AJ Mitchell's All My Friends achieves a highly respectable position of #139 - it was his first notable hit in my chart, and debuted at its peak of #15 in a week with 5 new entries and 1 re-entry above it, and of the 14 total songs ahead, All My Friends ends up above three of them, so cases could be made either way for whether it deserved a top 10 peak or not. It was looking primed to climb in at one point, but after a poorly arranged meet & greet in London (with no specific location and by the time we found him, we weren't allowed to see him lol), I felt a bit ambivalent to the track. However, that was only short-term and I quickly came back round to it. It was the moment AJ marked himself as one-to-watch for me.

Scoring his first ever top 10 hit this year, Post Malone's Goodbyes made a surprisingly strong impact on me, and as such it becomes his first ever EOY appearance for me. HRVY pops up again with promotional track I Don't Think About You, released in late 2018, and Ruel's slow-burning #10 hit Face to Face achieves a very respectable #137 after what initially seemed like a disappointing follow-up to first ever #1 Painkiller. Zedd & Katy's 365 didn't match the #1 peaks of Zedd's previous two singles, nor does it match their top 30 EOY positions, but nevertheless has a higher position than its quick departure would suggest in my EOY!

Despite Cqm's incessant nagging (xx), I've never truly grown off Hate Me and it arrives at #135, the first of two Ellie songs to feature this year. Also the first of two, Jordie Ireland kickstarts a duo of BJSC entries that feature in my top 300 - a total of 10 appear but 8 of them are mine! Throw Away My Number was an instant hit for me and ultimately peaked at #3. Selena Gomez's Look At Her Now and Kesha's Raising Hell both arrived in the same week, and both end up side-by-side here! It's not Selena's last appearance but it is Kesha's only one this year. Finally, Alexander Stewart shows up with No Thanks, his fourth highest track.

121 Boy In Space - Goodbye | 4-8-16-32-x

122 Linus Bruhn - Our City | 7-10-15-32-x

123 AJ Mitchell - Down In Flames | 12-8-12-26-37-x

124 FO&O - It's Time to Make a Wish | 10-9-13-x-35-36-x-21-19-25-14-…

125 Avril Lavigne feat. Nicki Minaj - Dumb Blonde | 4-8-16-30-38-x

126 Alexander Stewart - Don't Give Your Heart Away for Christmas | 16-8-14-5-…

127 NOTD & HRVY - I Miss Myself | 7-16-23-20-27-x

128 Taylor Swift - Christmas Tree Farm | 5-13-11-…

129 Harry Styles - Treat People With Kindness | 5-16-…

130 jens - Awkward | 4-10-16-29-38-x

jens' middle entry Awkward kicks off this section, an annoyingly relatable track about being awkward :') and Harry Styles' highest album track is just one spot above. Familiar faces HRVY, AJ Mitchell and Boy In Space show up again, none of them for the last time - HRVY and AJ have one more song each while Boy In Space has two. Avril Lavigne teamed up with Nicki Minaj for the regressive but fun Dumb Blonde, scoring her biggest hit of 2019, and German Eurovision reject Linus Bruhn places very well with Our City, the Madizin remix (though no other version is available, interestingly).

Three original Christmas songs feature in this section, too. FO&O's It's Time to Make a Wish was, as far as I know, an older track from their early days, but was only released to global Spotify in 2018 so I discovered it for the first time! Members Oscar Enestad and Felix Sandman both feature above with solo tracks (3 for Oscar, 1 for Felix), but Omar Rudberg does not appear (nor does ex-member Olly Molander, who was in the group for this track's release). Taylor Swift released Christmas Tree Farm in 2019 and it became an instant hit in my chart, debuting at #5, and it marks her first appearance of four in 2019's EOY. Finally, Alexander Stewart also released an original Christmas song, reversing the low peaks of promotional track This Is Your Life and actual single Single (lol) by returning him to the top 5.
