Really hoping the girls put some new stuff on sale today or tomorrow.. Its gonna be so close! Its a shame Kylie has done those cassettes aha as LM probably could of took the lead but hopefully they have something coming. I wish their team was as prepared as Kylies! Her team is smashing it right now

Weird how they added those posters to their store but it doesn't contribute towards the chart.. I don't see why they didn't add a CD + signed poster bundle and ship the poster out at a later time when they can be signed, as the ones currently are just printed posters.

 

They need to bundle that CD in with something, since the cassettes are out of the picture atm..

 

edit: nvm, they seem to have done it here; https://store.little-mix.com/products/confetti-prints-bundle but because there's nothing different besides a posted with a printed signature there's no incentive..

A few mixers are commenting on their tweets saying "can you add the signed CD's to something else, not all of us can afford the vinyl bundles" etc..

 

I'd consider buying the other version of 'Confetti' if it wasn't £17 and you don't really get any extra tracks or anything?

Yeah that pricing is ridiculous, throw in the £7 delivery fee and you're paying £24 for a bloody standard edition CD. You get more value for money in the bundles but putting the individual items at a huge price really isolates a lot of people, especially younger members of their fanbase (Now you see why the funding campaign was set-up lol)

 

I know it's not Little Mix's fault, as they don't set the prices. It is odd though, as they have always had their tour tickets at a lower cost than average because they don't want to isolate working class people who don't earn as much, as this was their issue growing up.

I feel like that's kinda insulting to everyone who's already paid full price though...

I can't do the listening party tonight, Bake Off is on (and I'm not sure I can atm as I'm really not feeling too good - don't worry it's not serious :lol:) so the drive to do it is minimal atm.

Anyway, i think Kylie has this won now, she has added like huge amounts of signed stuff and cassette bundles to HMV and her store.

Yeah, it’s clear Kylies team was more prepared for this battle. LMs team either don’t care about the #1 or thought they would run away with it.

What are we expecting the sales to be for this on Friday?

 

Im expecting it to be on around 46k (with Kylie probably on around 47-48k?) I still think if they add more then they could still have a chance but they need to hurry up lmao? I would of loved to see this go #1, i think im more annoyed at their team for not doing everything they can during the week so far considering how promising everything was starting to look during the pre order period. Oh well, Kylie and LM top 2 is still iconic :wub: Hope they somehow manage to surprise us all and snatch the top spot tho.

Little Mix just wouldn’t have the fanbase to sell the way Kylie does.

 

Don’t get me wrong they have a big fanbase but a very limited number of people in comparison would spend or even have the money to buy so many versions (especially the younger fanbase)

 

Credit to Kylie’s team they haven’t stopped, I can see her doing over 50k easily now.

 

I caved and bought the signed vinyl print, it’s upsetting as I really wanted LM to take it but it is what it is...So pleased SM will be top 3 though.

Yeah I agree, if this was any other week they would've wiped the floor with the competition, I wish they released last week, they're doing almost double Ariana's sales. (well more like 1.5x lol but)

That’s what I mean. I think everyone knew Kylie would have extra formats ready to go this week. Little Mix didn’t, they didn’t restock the cassettes and their vinyl has been sold out on HMV all week. They also could’ve had additional formats but they didn’t make them. They did more than they usually do to start out with, but they didn’t have anything extra ready. I understand they probably would’ve signed more albums if Jesy were available, but I wish they would’ve had more options ready to go.

 

Regardless, they’re gonna end the week with great sales and they have a smash hit in Sweet Melody. I’m happy with that but it’s still disappointing that they just never choose the right release week.

Hopefully they can sneak in a week at #1 nearer Christmas!

Some of you guys writing them off when it’s still a good chance they could overtake and be number 1 by Friday
