Good to see 'Hey Tiger' continuing to rise. I assume the animation is continued to be shown throughout Christmas on the Ch4 stations.
Interesting that Joni Mitchell is only #142 with ‘River’ - Ellie’s version doesn’t stray far from the original so the fact people are not turning to Joni’s version on Spotify, Apple, iTunes etc., shows the limited impact of Ellie’s version to the general public outside of the Amazon playlist spamming IMO.
don't really follow your logic, normal non-urban songs charting are doing so cos of playlists, there is not gonna be 50,000 people on a given day searching for Joni's River, totally impossible

Or maybe people hearing Ellie's version on Radio 2 are unfamiliar with the original? Also I believe it made it to the 40s but is of course dropping down now Christmas is over.

 

The promo seemingly has been near entirely limited to pushing the song on Amazon itself too, aside from R2 playlist support, so the average iTunes/Spotify user isn't going to be aware of it.
