Will the next uk election not be moved to the normal May/June time?

Under the Fixed Term Parliament Act, the next election will be in May 2024. Even if the Act is repealed, I suspect it will be May or June 2024. That is, assuming they don't claim that 2020 doesn't count as it has largely been spent on Covid and try to delay it until May 2025 or later.

CNN has been THE channel to watch this week. 5 star programming from them, they explained everything so well and broke down the various counties of America in an easy to understand way. They've been so professional in making counter points to Trump's nonsense as well.

 

Absolutely I’ve been enjoying it immensely so much so that I will try and watch Wolfie and Kings Situation Room from now on as their prime time is just before my bedtime at 11.30-12 so I can get the US politics from the horse mouth.

 

So much of my twitter feed is the same all following them now!

Although you could argue that CNN are supposed to be politically neutral but now seem to have pro-Democrat bias.

 

They are def pro liberal at any rate

Yes CNN is very popular for news and I can see why. Fox News is...ahem....entertaining with characters such as Tucker and Ingraham so I can see why its popular but a lot of its material is more opinion than news (although there are neutral news anchors like Harris Faulkner). I don't know much about the other American news channels other than they are mostly anti-Trump so Trump hates them!

Congratulations to Joe Biden on a convincing win to become the 46th President of the USA, and in particular Kamala Harris for becoming the first woman to be elected as Vice President!

 

It was a nerve-wracking watch on the night because of the way in which in person votes were counted first and the still very solid support for Donald Trump, however the chaos of the past 4 years also inspired a huge anti-Trump vote which was more than enough to reverse the 2016 result. : )

I'm in stitches over this whole thing. From Rudy's reaction to Biden winning to this whole thing being in the parking lot between a crematorium and a sex shop to Trump tweeting that this will be in the Four Seasons, Four Seasons saying that's true and Trump having to correct his post to say Four Seasons LANDSCAPING COMPANY.
