February 21, 20205 yr If Dua can smash America maybe Mabel can:( 'High Expectations'?! Edited February 21, 20205 yr by the s***e
February 25, 20205 yr This changing hair colours for new eras trend, first Dua, now Mabel. Not a big fan of the title of this song but we shall see what it is like, it sounds like it will be a bit of a faster song than Mad Love or Don't Call me Up from that preview.
February 25, 20205 yr I’m getting a vibe of Blueboy – Remember Me with that sample there! :o Is it a sample of another song? :o
February 25, 20205 yr Is it a sample of another song? :o Compare that Mabel trailer with this song from 1:18 and you’ll see the resemblance! y2Eah_EGiDc
February 25, 20205 yr Compare that Mabel trailer with this song from 1:18 and you’ll see the resemblance! Ooh well spotted!
February 25, 20205 yr Sounds decent from the clip, Mad Love took a long time to grow on me so maybe this will be the same
February 25, 20205 yr well spotted but I think Remember Me is not an original, was based on a sample so I think Boyfriend might use the same sample that Remember me also used rather than sampling Remember Me directly
February 25, 20205 yr OMG your so right I’m thinking it’s Thursday tomorrow as I’ve worked so hard tonight !!
February 25, 20205 yr well spotted but I think Remember Me is not an original, was based on a sample so I think Boyfriend might use the same sample that Remember me also used rather than sampling Remember Me directly Indeed you are correct, but Blueboy will always be the most recognised version. From Wiki; The track is built around samples from "Woman of the Ghetto" by Marlena Shaw: "Remember me? I'm the one who had your babies, I", in reference to African-American maids raising white children for little pay, came from a live version, whereas the "ging, gi-gi-gi-gi-ging..." sample repeated throughout the song is the scat portion of the original song's refrain.
