I hope this isn't another sensible middle of the road track like The Cure or Shallow. I miss the fun Lady Gaga of the earlier eras, yes that production is out of date now but I would like to see her do a more modern sounding fun dance pop track.

How dance pop is not "middle of the road"? Surely it's more "middle of the road" than Shallow which R1 refused to play.

 

Show me another artist that has done a song like Shallow in recent years and made it a hit.

 

I also want a pop album but hope it's more outlandish and adventurous than a regular dance pop. We have Dua Lipa for that.

I like the sound of it, dunno if it's a hit but I guess you can never tell fully from just a clip, either way I just want her back!! Friday release would be amazing, I don't want her to just chuck it out on a Monday and rush things AGAIN because that'd be yet another lead marred by a rushed release.

In the streaming age an LQ leak doesn't matter that much imo. I mean none of the casual listeners will know about anyway until it's officially available.

'Shallow' is too Lewis Capaldi reminiscent in style for me, even down to the over-dramatic vocals in the second part of the song which makes it hard for me to listen to.

I dom't like Shallow at all, but it was a big hit, and so I'm here for it whilst also not listening to it!

All the guests here last night looking for leaks have gone :(

It doesn't matter in the long run in terms of sales (which matter most) but it does make a big difference to her debut position which could well be the peak for a song. We need the mass fanbase buys to be added onto the casual Friday new music listeners for maximum impact. We shall see - no POP EMERGENCY situations please Gagz x

A Friday Gaga release could easily debut top 10.

 

Shallow debuted at #13 and she’s in a better position now than she was then

 

She’d be an easy sales #1 and streams in the initial days would be high based off hype and curiosity streams from haters and the GP.

 

But yeah I agree please no pop music emergency or mid week releases for the lead single!
