To be released alongside her upcoming documentary Miss Americana next week.

The doc doesn't lack for its own protest songs though. In the wake of her midterm disappointment, Swift is seen writing an anthem for millennials who might have come away disillusioned with the political process. That previously unheard song, "Only the Young," is seen being demo-ed before it plays in full over the end credits; it'll be released as a digital single in conjunction with the doc.

I'm living for her unleashing a pure political song after so long of everyone saying she's a Republican for not speaking out on politics
If she really is releasing another non-album single again I guess her Lover era is already over.

Definetley excited to see this and hear the new single too!

I’ll be really sad though if we get no more Lover singles. But yeah I can see how it looks like that’s the case. There’s still so much potential with Lover though to take the era well into Q3 at least.

LMAO.

I definitely didn't assume Only The Young (off X Factor *.*) had done a cover of 'Miss Americana' when I first read the title... *eyes*

Is the track still getting a release tomorrow, her Twitter etc doesn't seem to indicate it

pretty sure, I don't think there's gonna be any promotion or anything and she's just gonna release it alongside the documentary dropping

track #2 now on NMF and added to HH but toward the end of the playlist

sounds cool but just ok not mind-blowing

I've just watched the doc and absolutely loved it. This was a nice touch at the end over the credits; love a good stomping production from her.

I dont know the documentary was great and enlightening the single just seems weak by her standards, the vocals dont seem as strong as her best , lyrically it makes sense in comparison to the documentary though

Loved the documentary. She done across very well on it and it was such an insightful and rare watch.

She come across so genuine in it
