February 1, 20205 yr sounds less commercial than their last two which I suppose is to be expected from a Defected release, interesting for them to change direction but I'm not enjoying it as much based on the preview.
February 1, 20205 yr Now this is the different I wanted from them! Defected are good for bringing out an alternative side to someone’s production abilities
February 2, 20205 yr Oh this sounds really good from the preview. The drop is very different in style to that of their two hits.
February 2, 20205 yr Author I want to believe that this is the right direction for them, but as Dan said, it doesn’t sound commercial enough from that short sample... Now this is the different I wanted from them! Defected are good for bringing out an alternative side to someone’s production abilities  Be that as it may, is it really the right direction for them to go at this early stage of their career? Hopefully the full song has more to show than what that sample told us. I hope they don’t leave behind their signature sound going forward.

I think this might just be designed to be a less commercial side single from them, and not one that will get much radio airplay apart from dance specialist shows like Radio 1 Dance Anthems. The real follow up to 'Piece Of Your Heart' and 'Lose Control' will happen later. Although if 'Born To Love' had the same verses but a drop more like Piece Of Your Love or Lose Control it would be more 'commercial'. Edited February 2, 20205 yr by The S***e
February 2, 20205 yr It’s very common practice for dance acts to have side releases away from their commercial stuff so let’s not get our knickers in a twist over it. They will produce more commercial stuff as it works for them but it’s refreshing for them (and us) to have something different.
February 3, 20205 yr on the positive side, it doesn't feature Goodboyz! A 3rd single with Goodboyz would be an overkill
February 14, 20205 yr Wow! So they are pushing it as a proper single then? I really like it, it sounds great, but not as commercial as POMH or LC. Will be interesting to see if radio pick it up.
February 23, 20205 yr Enters the dance chart at #18 this week so it can’t be too far off the actual top 100
February 23, 20205 yr I like this a lot! I'm glad it isn't just another copy of the other two, but that it has slight elements of their style all the same.
May 1, 20205 yr Author Just discovered this remix that really elevates this already great song! YXQl_vIQuEI A shame it wasn’t really pushed as a commercial single, but hopefully the next one is on its way soon...
