There had to be something going on, but then again the papers would surely have got wind? It's just very very odd, an unsolved soap mystery.

I have no idea what happened but I'm on an EE forum where there's a few people who have a bit of insider gossip and there deffo was something that went down with Katie Jarvis, that's all I know. It makes the whole of Christmas 2018 and the six months prior where she was in virtually every episode feel like a bit of a waste.
Something had to have happened as it was a totally unfinished storyline and she went from been in nearly every episode to gone all of a sudden.
Well that wasn’t AS BAD as I thought it was going to be. Ben is such a repulsive character though.
I completely forgot this was even on tonight oops, I only remembered when I saw your post T Boy :') Should I watch it, I actually don't think I cba.
So... what was the point in that? Claiming to raise awareness for an underrepresented disability through the context of this silly gangsta rubbish was already a ridiculous concept and the execution did nothing to change my mind. I'm no further into understanding the struggles of the deaf community nor do I think they'll feel they have been accurately represented. I agree it wasn't as terrible as I was expecting, but I just ended up feeling nothing.
I was open-minded about this episode as it is highlighting something that is a huge issue for many people. However I found it really difficult to follow. I know that's THE POINT, but it made the show a real struggle to keep up with. Plus he went around acting like even more a thug than normal, which I don't think is helpful or the right message.

I suppose Ben no longer being able to hear at all is supposed to be a massive shock but he completely brought it upon himself and spent half the episode abusing Lola so I don’t feel for him at all.

I also had no idea what was going on with ‘the job’ not have I cared these past few weeks. Sharon getting the vic is the only good thing to come of this.

I still think that the Mitchells aren't going to end up with it. I feel like someone is going to swoop in at the last minute (JANINE PLEASE.)

That is probably just me wanting somebody other than the Mitchells in there though. Been there, done that.

I can’t see it. Janine ain’t coming back yet (for shame) and no one else in the show has shown the slightest bit of interest.

In fact, the Vic sale has been BIZARRE so far. The Carters don’t even seem mildly bothered about selling, they haven’t put much effort into finding somewhere to live or how they’re going to support themselves-this should be a huge story, they’ve only ever worked in pubs.

Also despite them running the Vic for almost 7 years, no one seems that bothered.

I know, I think it's just me hoping/wishing for something other than Phil owning The Vic AGAIN. It's also quite unrealistic that Sharon would want to run The Vic to help get over her dead son, when her dad was murdered inside and her husband murdered directly outside

The vic needs to be sold to a brand new character/family as it's a great way of bringing in new faces. I dont want phil and sharon back in the vic plus it will surely lead to even been behind the bar.

Last night's episode was a bit boring and drawl on.

Also I think the cast move on to the new site soon, as the Queen Vic gets refurbished, its just feels a bit convenient when the Carters are just moving out from it. I still think someone else will buy it.

Going by the state of the castings recently, I would not trust them to bring in a new family to have such a central role to the show.

I’m not sure there’s the space for a new family anyway, they’d have to axe someone and I don’t think there’s anyone right now who desperately needs axing (that’s likely to get axed.)

Sharon does work well in the Vic and it’d be nice to see her working again rather than just shopping all the time.

I’m also at the same time begging her to take her baby back because I’m getting sick of all these houses packed up with too many children with none of their parents present.

I do agree that most of new castings have been a huge disappointment. The show is very stale at the moment and it's kinda feeling like a hard watch at the moment, all the momentum is going that was kind of built up.
I’m watching last night’s episode NOW and I‘m wanting to put my foot through the screen :neyde: Ben is being disgusting to Lola, how dare he take the moral high ground when he’s either killed or nearly killed four people (Heather, he strangled Phil, ordered a hit on Billy and Keanu) and has treated Callum like shit so many times. Since when has Max Bowden’s Ben ever cared about Jay anyway.

Edited by Andrew.

So shocked Karen didn’t end up leaving in the end-not.
