February 17, 20206 yr Bieber outsold Tame Impala by 500 copies yesterday, at this rate he'll overtake and grab the #1 New Hope Club top 5 :cheer: they won't keep it but top 20 is on lock, fabulous outcome!
February 17, 20206 yr Yikes at Justin Bieber's sales! It looks like he'll still end up #1 come Friday but the album is set to open with less than 20k. Even factoring in different markets, that's a steep decline. The album is dire so it's not deserving of any success anyway, but I wasn't expecting it to do quite as badly as this. Sales are lower than expected for Tame Impala too, I mean they'll easily clear the 12k that Currents opened with but I thought they'd be on track to clear 20k considering how their fanbase has grown (and at a high enough rate to overcome the drop of the market). EDIT: Actually, with the BRITs on Tuesday, I wouldn't be surprised if Lewis Capaldi would be able to overtake both acts and take the #1!
February 17, 20206 yr "The Slow Rush" is an incredible album and deserves so much more than number two behind some repetitive unimaginative money-grabbing diarrhoea some people prefer to call "Changes" by JBiebz. Oh well.
February 17, 20206 yr Shocked at Bieber's sales, thought he'd be on twice that, even despite how bad the album is.
February 17, 20206 yr what's caused Perfect to have such a big boost then, and on the week that was supposed to be its last on SCR too? :drama:
February 17, 20206 yr what's caused Perfect to have such a big boost then, and on the week that was supposed to be its last on SCR too? :drama: Valentine’s Day!
February 17, 20206 yr Someone You Loved might overtake Before You Go soon  depends what Lewis performs at the Brits tomorrow. could see him doing SYL just to troll us all and then that'll be back in the top five.
February 17, 20206 yr Valentine’s Day! ugh! well I suppose I'll take being single over having to listen to that song ever again.
February 17, 20206 yr oh my at Bieber, they really should have postponed the album and work some more on it after the reaction that Yummy got very glad Tame Impala are beating him but looks like Lewis will get the #1 come Friday oops also great position for the 20th anniversary edition of White Ladder
February 17, 20206 yr Why isn't Physical climbing and why are people still holding up to Don't Start Now?
February 17, 20206 yr Yay at Billie all but confirmed getting her first #1! bad guy up a few spots and the album back in the top 5 as well! All I need know is for don't smile at me to get a top 10 peak
February 17, 20206 yr Dont start now kinda feels its hampering physical now, I think the problem is that radio hasn't moved on from DSN yet, I keep hearing it played a lot but I'm not hearing Physical so much. Not sure about spotify though, is DSN still high on playlists?
February 17, 20206 yr I think the problem is that radio hasn't moved on from DSN yet, I keep hearing it played a lot but I'm not hearing Physical so much. Not sure about spotify though, is DSN still high on playlists? her management did a huge mistake by pushing Physical so soon especially since Don’t start now has yet to peak worldwide, it is still climbing the US charts and many other charts.... they should have waited until Don’t start now started to fade and then pushed Physical as second single...
February 17, 20206 yr agree, released too soon the problem is not radio its the spotify playlists, DSN is still track #1 on many playlists, including all the global ones but also local UK ones like HH oddly, instead of rectifying, HH has placed Physical lower than it was before :/
February 17, 20206 yr I expected Justin to be on at least double what he’s on currently at this stage tbh. To think he’s probably doing better on streams as well as sales as well. I thought he’d have had fairly substantial physical buys in week one.
February 17, 20206 yr Well, good to see Tame Impala currently at #1 but bittersweet because both they and Bieber are on lower sales than I expected and Bieber will probably overtake anyway. Oops. I don't get how Green Day are a bigger sales pull than Tame Impala in 2020? I guess they've had a longer established fanbase but...
