Tame Impala Album has been reduced to £5.50 on Amazon and has jumped back up to #2 on their Best Sellers.

Looks like we have a genuine 3 way battle for number 1 this week. Surely Lewis Capaldi is favourite to get his ninth week at the top although not sure the sales boost from the Brits is as significant as we have seen in previous years, we should know later I suppose.

hope it has an effect, would love Tame Impala to hold on even if it's nearly impossible

anyway it's gonna be a big drop from Bieber going from one album selling 90K on week 1 to now doing 15K

Remember how awfully Journals did, he bounced back from that in a big way! Seems his sales are among the hardest to predict.
Why should they?

She is still relevant. Just because some people don’t like her doesn’t make her irrelevant

It's always *big* artists who perform without being nominated that year with a new single though, like Coldplay & The Chainsmokers in 2017.
I don't know why you even bother questioning his logic, I've long given up.

I live in vague hope he may one day say something remotely sensible, but I know deep down he never will.

why would a 2nd rate pop singer like Anne Marie who is not nominated for any award be performing at the Brits? she cannot even get an instant R1-add, do you think she's big enough to perform her shitty comeback single at the Brits?

That's a bit harsh. She wasn't nominated because she didn't release anything new last year. Also I don't know what getting an instant R1 add has got to do with being big enough to perform at the Brits. I'd say Anne-Marie is just as big a name as Lizzo or Mabel (if not more so) who both performed, and they don't get instant R1 adds either, which makes your point completely invalid.

the point was that if not nominated, only big stars perform new singles like Coldplay/Chainsmokers

but Anne Marie is not a big star for that, the non-instant add comment was to show that

OK but that's not how your point originally came across, and you're only using the Coldplay/Chainsmokers example now that someone else has mentioned it. I also meant to say that Anne-Marie's new single WAS insta-added by R1 on the day of its release which further invalidates your point!

'Journals' was more of a compilation than a proper album (and was also digital only), that's not really comparable to this album.

Also it's his purpose era in which he became huge which was released after journals , (he had only had a couple of big hits at that point )

Never thought I'd be rooting for Lewis to get the #1 album, but if it means stopping Bieber I'll root for him
Future n Drake back in top 10??

#8

Where’s Harry in both singles and album??

Top 50 singles, #9 albums

Good to see Intentions finally overtaking Yummy. It's going to be super close with the Top 3 albums tomorrow, whether Lewis can pip Bieber is anyone's guess.
DCMU climbing up a place despite being out of the top 50 on Spotify. Hope "Perfect" drops out by tomorrow. Even if it doesn’t, it should effective immediately go to ACR in two weeks
