Given how they fiercely promoted their last album with TV spots, I can see why they thought best to delay the single. Happy to know that they're ready for the era to get underway!

 

I feel it's been far too long since I listened to Tears on the Dancefloor! Shall give that a re-listen today!

I can see why they have delayed the single. I'm anticipating they have another intense album launch schedule to try sell as many copies of the album as they can. Another gold album from them would be amazing... I'm praying for them to achieve another #1 so they have a #1 album in 4 different decades :wub: (watch it crash and burn at #52 now lol)

They could easily grab a number 1 album in these couple of weeks.

If the album was released this week or the previous fortnight another number 1 they would easily claim.

 

I am very looking forward to new material as I still get great enjoyment from Tears In The Dancefloor.

I'm not so sure... Steps are very much physical sellers and I think there is a definite cut down of people buying physical CD's from the stores. Unless they could do it via sales from their website alone I think they might struggle a little, streaming is never going to be their friend... I have a feeling the entire campaign will be put off until next year now to try for a better chart placing and also so they can tour which is where they make their real money. :cry:

It's a long time to hold back the album in fear of a complete leak.

This seems to be both, the most popular and the most frustrating forum thread right now. Everytime I check if there's something new, nothing has happened.

A lot of releases are on hold at the minute due to covid so we’re just gonna have to be patient. I’m sure it will be worth the wait!

I am so excited for the new Steps era, I utterly adored the last reunion of theirs.

 

What are their chances of charting high on the album charts do we think? They had impressive first week sales last time and overall sales were fairly good for the time. I would absolutely love it if they managed to achieve a #1 album then they can claim #1 albums in the 90's, 00's, 10's and 20's which none of their peers from the same era can as of yet...

 

If they picked a good week with no real strong competition i would say that's possible

I'm looking forward to their next album i'm presuming it will either be at the end of the year

or 2021

The latest gossip is that Steps have decided to hold back this new album era to April 2021 :( I really hope that isn’t true!

What makes you think it will leak? They can keep it in the vault as long as they wish.

 

Since they are in it for the money, they won't come back until they know for sure that they can tour the album. There's no point for them to release it if they can't make money off it. :arrr:

I just find in cases like this the album or some of the songs leak, I hope it doesn't happen though.

Unless someone managed to nab a copy of it when it was released early in China and surely if someone had done it’d be online by now, I think they’re safe
