Posted March 1, 20205 yr Another YouTube exclusive from Drake released today. Probably not for his new album/mixtape but I suppose we should be expecting something official soon. 0jz0GAFNNIo Not that impressed really, can we get something that's not a feature or throwaway soon please.
March 17, 20205 yr Author Drake has now broken Glee's record for most songs having hit the Hot 100 as his feature on Lil Yachty's 'Opera's Bank Account' becomes his 208th! *.*
March 17, 20205 yr Drake's got plenty of good or better songs, just he's also involved on some absolute shockers.
April 3, 20205 yr xWggTb45brM Hearing it in full, I think this will be pretty big (probably not long term but I can see the public eating it up right now).
April 3, 20205 yr Author I'm quite liking this, but he's done better numerous times. I just hope he doesn't spent the whole album trying to appeal to TikTok, and gives us another great track along the lines of God's Plan/Nice For What.
April 3, 20205 yr It is very autopilot Drake but that's still preferable to most other music around atm so I'm in
April 3, 20205 yr Ehh. Love the sample, not so keen on the hook. At least it's better than "God's Plan" [although anything is tbh]
April 3, 20205 yr he mumbles the chorus like he's had asleep and reciting the phone book and the video is even more disappointing, a sorta mockery of how rich people like him are all protected in their luxurious mansions separated from the poor than need to continue with their lives no matter what
April 3, 20205 yr Really disappointed in the song. Very monotone and boring. I was expecting a banger,
April 3, 20205 yr he mumbles the chorus like he's had asleep and reciting the phone book and the video is even more disappointing, a sorta mockery of how rich people like him are all protected in their luxurious mansions separated from the poor than need to continue with their lives no matter what I would never have interpreted it like that the main thing I noticed was the face covered and gloves which kind of fit with the current ....ahem...trends As for the song it's not one of his most interesting in terms of production, as Drake has had some very interesting productions such as in Nice For What. It is quite a nice relaxing track though. Edited April 3, 20205 yr by Social Hisstance
April 7, 20205 yr Ok 'Toosie Slide' might be growing on me :kink:. Edited April 7, 20205 yr by Gerald
April 8, 20205 yr Certifying myself as a 12 year old, I am enjoying this. As I was gathering from the reactions to it it's basically just another Drake song with a TikTok bait hook attached to it, the hook is the weakest part of it but I don't find it drags down the song entirely. By no means a highlight of his discography but it does the job as a solid Drake banger. ~
April 12, 20205 yr This is hilarious but it's also a bit sad... like will he ever be a credible artist again? People will not follow him until forever if all he does solo is these TikTok baits @1249187075666186244
April 12, 20205 yr How are you extrapolating him making a singular (1) song with a TikTok bait hook as 'all he does solo is TikTok bait'?
April 12, 20205 yr Uhm, Hotline Bling had a meme video, God's Plan was a meme song as a whole and exploded right away on streaming charts, In My Feelings was a TikTok hit with it's dance challenge. Getting viral hits is clearly something that he likes to aim at in his work. And now he's on Republic which is famous for heavy and clever marketing so wouldn't expect him to change his way of thinking any time soon. On Metacritic, you can see with Scorpion that people were already tired of him making half-arsed records and focusing on 2-3 viral hits. Edited April 12, 20205 yr by SKOB
