Pity for the times we're living in. The song has a huge potential, and I'm sure The Late Late Show would have helped her.

There are way more important things tho right now. I hope Mel's team uses the same strategy when the crisis is over.

Watch her IG TV. She released an alternative video called WHO I AM Around the House. So funny 😂😂😂😂🏡

Enjoyed the alternative video

Very pleasing to see the normal video exceed 1 million views rather quickly

Who I Am remix by Joe Goddard (Hot Chip! )

As the song got into any playlists on Spotify/Apple by the way? It's Spotify numbers are super low, I think...

Great that it is doing well on Youtube - her biggest hit in the streaming era so far hey

I dont want to rain on her YouTube success parade but it had sponsored adverts on youtube to play the video as an advert and sponsored adverts on insta that linked to the YouTube video.

That probably explains the big difference between youtube and spotify numbers. Though it is smart for her as I'm sure YouTube pays more than spotify streaming wise and the video obviously is there to harp back to her hay days.

^ High heels had the same you are totally trying to rain on her parade. Why don’t you just stay out of the topic ?

Your Mel C bashing is boring .

That's true. But the comment and likes prove they did a great job targeting a new audience. Melanie biggest problem is lack of visibility (before was also bad song choices in my opinion). Her YouTube channel is a +100K subscribers, none of the other Spices have that. She owns a Silver Play Button. I don't think that's so bad for a popstar who's been in the game for more than 20 years and has suffered the digital changes.

Oh I definitely think targeting people with the video was the tight thing to do. The video will be interesting for people who haven't seen her solo wise for a while. I think nostalgia acts do better on youtube too.

For any artists on Spotify unless they are absolute A list they need playlisting and Mel just has absolutely no chance of getting that.

Vibe just piss off and get your head out of Mel C's ass and let us adults have a proper conversation.

My head ain’t in her ass. I’m just calling you out, you’re embarrassing. All you have done for the last couple of years is bitch and moan . BORING

This has had a slight rise to 172 on iTunes because she was on news at 10 sharing how she is coping in lock down .

Successssss :yahoo:

Nice that a few people were liking the song  I wish it could get the success it deserves, but meh we all know streaming platforms will never throw support her way.

I've really been enjoying this since its release! Such a shame that radio outside of Radio 2 and streaming platforms don't give Mel's music a chance because I think songs like 'Who I Am' and 'Anymore' sound very current and exciting.

A shame the chart performance of her albums aren't enough to make up for the lack of singles success. I hope her next album can improve on the upward trajectory that Version of Me appeared to start.

Completely agree! I really wish today's music industry could be more like the 90s, when it didn't seem to matter how old an artist was. I'll always think of Cher as a 52 year old woman getting the biggest smash of her career, and that was only able to happen due to the support it received from radio and TV... it just wouldn't happen now. I wish there was a certain level of support given to artists like Melanie so they'd at least have a fighting chance of making the Top 100. "Older" artists make great music too!

I hope so too! Fingers crossed that she could get her first Top 20 album in 17 years :o

Album sales are so low she will def have a decent peak . Especially with the trend of the bundles!!

She seems to want to release quite a few singles before the album too.
