Elizabeth - I love a good costume drama and real life film. I even like Cate Blanchette. But this was so dull. I'll avoid the sequel.

I watched District 9 the other day and only discovered afterwards that the aliens were supposed to have subtitles. I did wonder why it confused me so much..
To bring out the inner child in me I purchased Despicable Me. Loved It.

The last DVD I bought was this 80's cult classic

I have GOT to buy 'Orphan'. Missed it on C4 last week and everyone has been telling me how good it is! So by the time I get back from holidays - THIS will be the last DVD I've seen/bought!

It's very good KathyP.

Gypsy as I have to watch several different musicals on DVD for my Uni course. It was quite good actually and I surprisingly knew a few of the songs.

After seeing Cremey's signature I decided to watch The Lion King (cos I was deprived of disney movies as a child :() and I thought it was really good. I didn't cry like I expected even though almost everyone says they do, which is not like me cos I can cry at anything. Did tear up a little bit at the scene by the water though when he see's is reflection.

I did find it odd that all the characters had either british or american accents though... in africa :P

Just watched Zombieland and was very, very entertained. I think I liked it just as much (in fact a bit more) as Shaun of the Dead!

I'm finding Woody Harrelson is seriously attractive!

Gnomeo & Juliet

Next up: Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and if that goes well I'll complete the trilogy as they're all on offer now.

Kramer Vs Kramer. Wow, what a performance by Dustin hoffman. The film challenges a parental split in such a realistic well. Really reccomend this to anyone

The Sound Of Music - Wow, no wonder this is the classic it is today. Julie andrews is beyond amazing. The songs, the cast. Everything is amazing

The Holiday - About 5 people told me to see this and it looked good because it is isn't your typical rom com. It's really good. Great cast as well. Jack Black can be a serious dude when he wants to be.

The Proposal!

LOVE this. I wonder why? :kink:

The last DVD i watched was In The Land of Women.

I had no idea what to except, I only bought it because it was cheap and Adam Brody is the main lead

It actually is a lovely film, really great story. Has a really sweet ending. Meg Ryan is good in it too, despite her weird lips

Knocked up - Really funny. Chemistry between the lead stars is the best i've seen in a comedy in years

Philadelphia - Denzel washington did an amazing performance. Yet ignored by the academy. While tom hanks stole the glory, his performance was medicore at most. He likely only got the oscar for physically looking like an HIV patient.

'Martyrs'

I bought it from HMV today after seeing it online thanks to a couple of people talking about it a while ago on here. Seriously one of the best and most disturbing/uncomfortable films I have ever seen in my life. It truly is astounding in every way possible!

I think I would give it a 10, easily.

HIGHLY recommended. Especially to those who are fans of subtitled horror/psychological films (it's in French).
