Sherry's win was very puzzling to me, what I think happened was that because of all the controversy surrounding her, the producers edited her screen time down & maybe that's why we didn't get to see more of her in that challenge.

 

Yes Heidi should have won that task & Jan deserved more than safe (that look was everything). That lip sync was terrible & Dahlia clearly struggled with the rap part, apparently her storming off was also edited down, in reality she just stood there for 30 minutes & wouldn't say anything according to Nicky Doll. The right one definitely left her broccoli skit was awful she kept looking at the other girls (clearly a sign of panic).

 

I was quite surprised Crystal didn't end up in the bottom 2 (sheer luck), but got a feeling she'll step it up in the next episode. Brita & Widow seem to be getting the villain edits for this season, they're treatment of Aiden was a bit unfair, but to be honest she does need to step it up or otherwise she won't last long.

i don't think dahlia had ANY room to improve at all :( she's that kind of queen who does what SHE does, but she just seems like a queer person who likes to dress up in the female-presenting instagram aesthetic and act sexy. that seems to be all that the Haus of Aja offer, Aja aside.

100%! Like that's fine if it's the type of drag she wants to do, it's valid, but when you're on Drag Race in its 12th season, you've had 11 other seasons to know that looking "right" in a sexy Instagram way is not enough to do well on the show.

Even her gorilla-esque fall look was such a monstrosity. I'm not sure why people like it. HIDEOUS

Editing is really odd this season eh? Surrounding not only SP but also Aiden (lack of criticism), Jan & Rock M (lack of praise) & in this episode it not being at all touched on that Gigi played dead the whole episode.

 

Also find myself reacting to some queens differently after I looked up their ages. Aiden I'd been thinking "oh this is a young queen that needs some polish" but she is 29! Older than half of the others there & yet coming out in these looks & wigs every week & also having this puppy personality.

The editing was pretty off this episode but I don't mind TOO much. Usually you can tell based off the talking heads who is the winner and bottom 2 of the week purely based off their edit, its pretty much spoon fed to us who we should keep an eye on that episode, but this week definitely suggested it would be Rock or Aiden who went home first, so at least its making the season a little less predictable even if it does feel rather odd

I watched the episode now and I do wonder if they edited down He Who Must Not Be Named? They obviously can't edit him out of the show (though I wouldn't object to a South Park-style black box when he appears), but it did seem like they were editing around him, making the win a bit puzzling.
