Jesus Christ if Dominic Raab ever becomes Tory Leader or prime minister we’re all f***ed. Useless twat and his team trying their best apparently to get all British people back home. Kindly negotiated a 10% discount with Qatar Airways for commercial flights just costing a cool £8,000 for a one way economy ticket. Constantly saying it’s difficult. Meanwhile the Germans get flights for all their stranded citizens.

He’s an absolute dickspot.

I’ve heard that Germany has been repatriating other EU nationals as well as part of their efforts to collect their own citizens. News out this morning said that it’s take them another fortnight to get everyone back, so maybe worth trying to sweet talk the German embassy to see if they’ve a spare couple of seats for y’all?

Good luck!!!! Sounds like a right bloody nightmare.

Qatar Airways and that all profiteering off people trying to get themselves home is shameful though. Not saying it should be free but it’s shouldn’t be subsiding their grounded fleet. Especially the three bloody oil money bankrolled airlines. They’re all sham entities that make a loss anyway through diabolical Missmanagement and serve only to whitewash their respective countries image.

Russia has also stopped all air traffic except for flights that will bring their citizens home. we are officially in a lockdown. everyone also knows that official numbers are much lower than what's actually going on here. the mayor of Moscow also just literally tweeted that preserving the economy at this time is a priority. as if making next week officially a week off will make ANY difference whatsoever.

okay nice knowing y'all we'll all die out here but bars and restaurants will still be open. one more piece of proof that this country is treating its citizens like cattle or circus animals, quite literally. if you can't work or survive on your own during this time then you will be discarded :cheer:

For common sense and the brainwashed sitting on the daily mail seats at the back. The UK taking so long with lockdown - and it's not total lockdown like the snske wants - was outrageous.

That's just one junior Dr's opinion of the NHS from last Dec and nothing whatsoever to do with the virus and time to lockdown whatsoever.

+919 deaths today in Italy...it just keep rising :snif:

The Italian PM should do the honourable thing and resign now, him and his government have obviously failed to control the virus effectively.

Seems to be a rampant virus though. How do you know another leader would have done any better? They've been on partial lockdown then full lockdown. What more could they do?

900 should have been daily infected and not deaths!!!

I hope it will start getting better soon there...their numbers are terrifying!!!

It shows the tory disregard for the nhs. It's a fact that the tories have decimated it. We warned you.

So police in Bristol are going to get much tougher from tomorrow and start handing out fines. They'll break up all groups of people and stop vehicles and people walking.

Bristol live. Matro too I believe.

Police in Bristol said they will start fining people if they don’t comply with the coronavirus lockdown - but there was confusion and mixed messages over what exactly people are, and are not, allowed to do.

Officers were out on patrol in Bristol on Friday with police chiefs saying they were instructed to ‘engage, explain and encourage’ people to comply with the lockdown rules.

The police were granted extra powers to enforce the lockdown - including issuing on the spot fines - late on Thursday.

But despite many reports on social media in Bristol of police issuing fines to people on Thursday evening and during the day on Friday around the city, a spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police told Bristol Live that, as of early afternoon on Friday, no fines had been issued.

As well as advising people about the lockdown out and about on Friday, the police in Bristol were carrying out random vehicle stops to check if people’s journeys are absolutely necessary: The Government guidelines state people should only be travelling by car to go to work - if they are a keyworker - on an essential shopping trip, to get medicines or if they are volunteering to help the coronavirus relief effort.

Police officers set up a vehicle check on Park Street to check if people's journeys were absolutely necessary. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said that, for the time being, they would be advising people first, but fining them was a very real possibility.

Meteo paper. These are fines for people being far from home, rather han out for exercise near where they live.
Are train companies giving refunds I wonder, for tickets book in advance? Maybe people should hang on to them and use them when the lockdown ends but may not want to travel then.

Contact them, I had tickets booked and was told to post them back to an address with my transaction number.
