April 26, 20205 yr 17 votes of 10, plus an 11 for Take On Me - can't argue with that, a deserved winner! Thank you Rollo for running this over the last 4 months!
April 26, 20205 yr 'Take On Me' is a fabulous winner! I had forgotten what songs were in the running by this point but I'm not too surprised at that taking the top spot. Although it managing to do it by quite a big margin even with a -1...! 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' also a deserved song to be so high up and again a little surprising it wasn't dragged down like certain other songs of a similar style / era! Thanks for running this Rollo, has been fun B-)

April 26, 20205 yr Author Tomorrow I'll reveal which songs scored the most points in the first round and the four semi-finals.
April 26, 20205 yr can't argue with that winner, classic song - although I'd take Daft Punk from that top five easily  great job again Rollo !
April 26, 20205 yr I would have predicted Torn to win on Buzzjack but very glad it’s a-ha. Take On Me is an absolute classic
April 26, 20205 yr Oh wow, given how much I was complaining earlier, those results are EXCELLENT. That whole top 5 are wonderful, One More Time and Bittersweet Symphony are all time favourites of mine, and Take on Me is certainly one of the most iconic number 2s ever so near perfect winner  Thanks for this, Rollo, really enjoyed following it!
April 27, 20205 yr Tomorrow I'll reveal which songs scored the most points in the first round and the four semi-finals. Will be an interesting comparison
April 27, 20205 yr Was not expecting 'Take On Me' to be number one tbh :o Absolutely love 'Torn', one of my favourite number twos ever! 'Bittersweet Symphony' finishing that high is a bit, well, bittersweet for me - it's great to see The Verve so high but I always thought the song was a bit over-rated, unlike 'The Drugs Don't Work' which is legit one of my absolute favourite songs of all time  Great rundown though, thoroughly enjoyed following it!
April 27, 20205 yr Have absolutely loved this countdown. Thanks for all the effort that's been put in. It's been hugely enjoyable and interesting to see other people's musical opinions. A well deserving winner in A-ha and wonderful to see 'Torn', 'Murder On The Dancefloor' and 'One More Time' in the top 10! A shame for the Verve to end up at number 2 on a number 2s poll!
