Stop calling him Dom it just makes you sound creepy!

Great work by the Mirror and Guardian holding back the second piece of evidence until the government backed themselves into a position they can't get out of, played them for the fools they are!

What's that quote? Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed, everything else is public relations. Mirror and Guardian did great work together on this story, best individual piece of journalism I've seen for a long time.

The truth of it is pretty much inductively proven the way the journalists released half the story first, let the government come up with weak defenses that already get piled on by the public on Twitter, before releasing their second bit of evidence that he was quite clearly gallivanting about Durham doing whatever the hell he wanted. If the government finds it tedious that people are asking questions about one civil servant's conduct then perhaps they shouldn't be in government, they clearly get annoyed far too easy.

The government are not "arse twitching", they're finding this tedious to have to deal with the desperate media making false allegations and false interpretations of what really happened. Instead the government would rather be getting on with their jobs in trying to make the UK a better country to live in, instead of playing the media's silly games.

Who knew even on BuzzJack we would get paid shills  how embarrassing

Journalism today from the mainstream media is the worse it has ever been, yes even worse than the hacking scandal era.

Desperation oozes from every newspaper and news programme in the UK today, fake stories, half-truths, and false interpretations of the facts.

Wow, if you believe the media are making this up then you really are stupid. You just need to say the famous fake news phrase before you complete the whole metamorphosis. Numerous journalists, eye witnesse all making this up. Because they want to stop Brexit. Right. Next you’ll be telling me you don’t believe in vaccinations.

I’ve actually just read tonight that some people in the know reckon if Cummings does go, Johnson is more likely to cave on the transition period (not sure where that comes from myself). Funny.

Are you for real?

Try thinking for yourself rather than let someone else do it for you.

I suppose 52% of the general public also have a personal vendetta against Dominic Cummings, or maybe its because THEY HAVE A POINT:

Or maybe the British people don't give a f, and have more important things going on in their life.

This is the British mainstream media playing their silly games.

Oh I think it is cutting through, there are a lot of reports from Tory MPs of angry correspondence to constituency offices. Lockdown has affected us all and this places Dominic Cummings and his family above everyone elses. You are a fool to think otherwise!

I am deeply concerned about how the alt-right and now the government seems to be using tactics out of the fascist playbook. At the risk of invoking Godwin's Law: “One of the greatest advantages of the totalitarian elites of the twenties and thirties was to turn any statement of fact into a question of motive.”

No, it is you that is the fool

People today are breaking the lockdown rules more and more. Dom didn't do anything wrong and hasn't broken any rules, if anything he followed the rules more than most British people did.

This is a witch hunt from the British mainstream media, they're not doing their job, instead they play their silly, stupid games. And it is no surprise the contempt for the British mainstream media gets bigger and bigger, why would anyone listen to the British media these days.

:D I love how unhinged you are this morning. Rattled too, the government were played like a fiddle yesterday and you are hating every minute !

Calm down Sigmund Freud, you don't have any idea of what I am feeling.

The British media are burying themselves, I just want a level of journalism in the UK that actually has some professionalism rather than just filled with activists.

“If you live with others and you are the first in the household to have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), then you must stay at home for at least 7 days, but all other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill.”

“Essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People must remain in their primary residence. Not taking these steps puts additional pressure on communities and services that are already at risk.“

Official government guidance. Pray tell how him taking his kid, AFTER his wife developed symptoms, on a 250 mile trip to Durham equates to “must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days”.

Just quoting this as it seems to have been overseen :)

Except in unforeseen circumstances such as having no-one to look after your child.

I wonder, do you have any children? Because if you did you would understand why Dom never took his child to social services instead.

Well there is a least one thing that we can agree on PeaceMob, British journalism is absolutely dire at the moment - it is why I don't buy any newspapers and I cancelled my BBC licence subscription on 13th December 2019. Using BBC reporters to act as the PR department for the goverment and counter-brief like some corrupt state broadcaster against damaging stories makes it feel like a complete shell of the public service broadcasting remit that it once embodied.

Please provide the citation as to where it sets this out. Families across the country have been in the exact situation and have followed the rules and self-isolated. Even if it were to be said it was allowed, are you saying he knew no one around him who could help him out but was forced to travel 250 miles to one of the worst hit regions in the country? What about his excursion to Barnard Castle? Are you saying Durham police lied as well?

It should be noted Robert Buckland, the Lord Chancellor, has not shown support.

Do you know of any good places to buy fishing rods?

Yes, I am exactly the same. I haven't bought a newspaper in years, as for the BBC, the quality has dropped so much, the BBC no longer represent the British people anymore.

British journalism has just plunged into sewage reporting, I blame the Daily Mail and the Sun mostly for dragging the rest of the journalism including the Guardian and the Times down to their level now.

Another Conservative MP asks for Dominic Cummings to 'consider his position', think the pressure will be too much by the end of the day for him to hang on - at least without doing considerable damage to public trust in the government.

I must say, though I disagree with everything he ever says, I do always LOVE it when Peacemob drops by. He’s like a supervillain mixed in with Rita Repulsa. You just know he has an evil laugh and a moustache to twirl. It’s very entertaining and it’s always lovely to see to rest of Buzzjack united.

I don’t remember a rule about breaking the lockdown being ok if you need childcare. In fact, that was a reason why Cummings and co didn’t want schools closed because it would kill loads of grandparents. It’s really interesting to see how the ‘will someone please think of the children!!!’ line comes out when the government want/need something like to reopen schools or cover Cummings’ arse.
