April 8, 20206 yr It's quite funny how the consensus was that All Time Low were a #1 contender in the albums and could have blocked Dua, but they're actually gonna miss the top 20. That was before we realised their physicals weren't releasing this week tbf.
April 8, 20206 yr Just here to LOL @ 5SOS For being #12 when people assumed they would be out of the Top 30 this week? Niall, The Blossoms, Green Day etc., have all achieved the same feat recently. Edited April 8, 20206 yr by ___∆___
April 8, 20206 yr All Time Low are actually a fair bit higher than I'd have predicted considering their lack of physicals tbh.
April 8, 20206 yr It wouldn't surprise me actually if they get a new peak once the physicals release.
April 8, 20206 yr For sure, I think they'll still manage a top 10 minimum when the physicals come out, similar to Thom Yorke.
April 9, 20206 yr HMV have started a huge Easter flash sale today - some of the lowest prices I’ve seen from them on vinyl (Loads £10 or less - they’ve got Dua’s new album on vinyl for £13.99 too). Should give the physical market a helping hand :cheer: https://store.hmv.com/store/hmv-offers/viny...1&view=grid
April 9, 20206 yr Yeah 1-12 really isn't a particularly comical drop nowadays you should take into consideration the current comical sales, when 3k is enough to guarantee a top 10 placing...
April 9, 20206 yr Just read that Spain has stopped the album Charts for the time being cos of the corona situation :/ In a statement issued to Billboard, Promusicae said that sales of physical music “by mail or messenger could almost serve as testimony to the fact that records are not essential items”. They added that physical sales are “almost irrelevant” at present.
April 9, 20206 yr you should take into consideration the current comical sales, when 3k is enough to guarantee a top 10 placing... That doesn't make sense, the climate means sales are low for everyone, not just them. If sales were higher everywhere then their sales would be higher
April 9, 20206 yr That doesn't make sense, the climate means sales are low for everyone, not just them. If sales were higher everywhere then their sales would be higher  well not really, because most of 5SOS album sales rely on crazed fans buying multiple cassette copies and CD bundles which only helped them in the first week, their 2nd week drop just proved how indifferent is the general public to their music, and their overall sales tally will further prove that....
April 9, 20206 yr TBH I think 5SOS have held up really well - their official online store has been out of stock of all formats since Friday last week so this week it’s only streaming/downloads and any physicals from online stores like HMV etc., Niall dropped from 1-12 a few weeks ago, most pop acts with a passionate fan base and encouragement of multi buying drop heavily in the subsequent weeks.
April 9, 20206 yr That doesn't make sense, the climate means sales are low for everyone, not just them. If sales were higher everywhere then their sales would be higher  This is correct - everyone's being affected by low sales. 5SOS aren't somehow immune.

April 9, 20206 yr Becky hill on the verge of a new peak in the album chart, I hope it can get top 20 eventually. Hopefully dua has done enough to be number 1 tomorrow.
April 9, 20206 yr So good to see ‘Falling’ on the move after being stuck at #20 for the last 3 weeks. Such a great era for him - 4 Top 20 singles and the album about to spend its 17th week Top 10 :cheer:
