Never heard of boy crazy,,I will look them up,,any songs you wiukdcrecommend?
Boy Krazy were one of Stock & Waterman's final acts who had little or no sucess in the UK like Delage, The Twins or Nancy Davis. About two years after Boy Krazy's debut single "That's What Love Can Do" had flopped in the UK where it peaked at 86, a famous US radio dj heard the song in a club and fell in love with it. He put it on his radio playlist and the rest is history: "That's What Love Can Do" became a top 20 US Hot 100 hit, Their follow-uo "Good Times With Bad Boys" charted in Hot 100, too, but then Boy Krazy's lead singer left and the group quit.

I've discovered Boy Krazy in 1993 when they were big in the US and I remember how nice it was to have new PWL material once again. Bananarama and Sybil were also around that time with Stock & Waterman songs, but I have to say Boy Krazy are more classic PWL.

I listened to that what love can do, it feels like a Sonia b side, not as catchy as much of the pwl work. I loved sybils the love I lost and when I'm good and ready, the love I lost especially was catchy. I also enjoyed the bananarama pwl work. From listening to that's what love can do I'm happy kylie didnt do a 5th pwl studio album. When kylie announced she was leaving pwl I was worried at the time but it was a great decision as I dont think she would be as successful as she was long term had she stayed.

I'm wondering if Kylie had stayed with PWL what songs would have been on her 5th album, so I listened to Stock & Waterman produced albums from 1992 & 1993, imagining how Kylie could have sung them or if they were originally written for her. Here are my picks for Kylie's 5th PWL album:

Bananarama: Please Yourself

- Last Thing On My Mind (2nd single because Pete Waterman loves this song so much Steps had to record it, too)

- More, More, More (3rd single because three out of four Kylie's PWL albums had cover versions as single release)

Sybil: Good 'N' Ready

- When I'm Good And Ready (1st single)

- Stronger Together (4th single)

- Didn't See The Signs

Boy Krazy: Boy Krazy

- Good Times With Bad Boys

- Different Class

A 5th album just wouldnt have worked and would have have had disappointing sales.i do like last thing on my mind but couldn't see it as a kylie single and it would have been a step backwards for kylie.

I thought you might have given some brutal scores here! :P Had a feeling you'd like 'Closer', I was quite surprised when I heard it because it's not typical SAW at all!

'I Guess I Like It Like That' is such a riot! I don't think there's anything original in the song!

I'm going to be sending PM's round to those who have voted in some sections but not others as I'm wanting to start soon, so there is still time to vote if you want to!

Mmmm an interesting post & yeah it would be fun to speculate what tracks would/could have been given to Kylie if she stayed with PWL for another album. Another song that could be added to that list is Suzette Charles with "Free to Love Again" - could see Kylie doing that track as well as "When I'm Good and Ready', but Kylie leaving when she did was a smart move, as by 1993 PWL weren't racking up the hits they used to. They were already starting to fade as was Kylie, her 4th album 'LGTI' only managed a #15 peak, & yeah okay the 'Greatest Hits' did get to #1, but if she'd released another album with them, which funnily enough would have probably been '93, then it may have missed the top 20, a lead single may have gotten her a low top 10 or top 20 peak, but I'd predict any follow-ups wouldn't get the same attention & she would have ended up fading into obsurity.

Plus PWL didn't know where to take her next, look at the mish-mash of sounds on 'LGTI;, very lacking direction. Although I do think some of these could have been given to Kylie, but of course they would have written a whole bunch of new songs for her as well & had flown some other producers in, as she was their top priority. Honestly surprised they didn't put up much more of a fight to keep her, considering she was their top selling act & after she left, they really struggled, by 1994 they had no hits at all.

Just for fun what a possible 5th album could have looked like, using Monzo's said tracks & plus a few of Suzette Charles tracks (just for fun):

01. When I'm Good and Ready (Sybil)

02. Free To Love Again (Suzette Charles)

03. Stronger Together (Sybil)

04. Last Thing On My Mind (Bananarama)

05. Didn't See The Signs (Sybil)

06. More, More, More (Bananarama)

07. Good Times With Bad Boys (Boy Krazy)

08. Different Class (Boy Krazy)

09. Don't Stop (All The Love You Can Give) (Suzette Charles)

10. After You're Gone (Suzette Charles)[/color]

She left at the right time and based on those songs it was just in time as SAW were fading away at that time as was Kylie. Likely another SAW album would have been even less successful than let's get to it.

Kylie made a very important decision when leaving S.A.W. and it was a career saving decision.

The journey they had together ended naturally.
