Posted April 11, 20205 yr As we know, they - like the Spice Girls before them - pivoted into a more R&B & disco inspired sound with Alive in 2002 which also saw Bradley take vocal focus again. This had mixed results & wasn't much of a success for them. hayQn_rHock What else do you think they could have done, given the music scene in general at the time? Discuss.
April 12, 20205 yr I feel like Rachel's music gives a bit of an insight into what could've been for S Club perhaps. A dancier direction going forward, some work with Xenomania? I would've been VERY here for that! A more mature pop sound.
April 12, 20205 yr Moving into a more mature sound definitely would’ve been a good direction imo, music trends changed a lot over their early years
April 12, 20205 yr Author Ugh a dancier S Club would've been IT Imagine them doing a song like About You Now! Or something like Eurovision!
April 12, 20205 yr Omg imagine them doing the kind of songs GA and Sugababes did in the mid/late 00s!!
April 12, 20205 yr I’m actually shook they’ve never done Eurovision! I feel like they should’ve taken advantage of making a comeback for it in the late 00s
April 13, 20205 yr The music S Club 7 (and Steps) could have gone on to create had they stuck around for the mid/late 00s pop sounds... it could have been incredible. Sadly the world of pop music seemed incredibly fast paced in that era, to the point that 4 years seemed like a really good run for a group. Lasting as long as Girls Aloud and particularly Little Mix was pretty unheard of.
