It’s long gone now. I saw it on a YouTube review a couple of years back when they dropped the vinyl for the 20th anniversary and asked the reviewer where I could buy it. He said they were only available at the shop he went and all gone by now.

damn!

Madonna is releasing an anniversary EP to Bedtime Stories which includes 2 previously unreleased songs, demos and remixes. What is interesting about this release is she had Stuart Price remix and edit these outtakes.

It’s too bad the group can’t do something similar with their outtakes. Have Biff remix and edit the unreleased songs to make them sound more polished. Feed Your Love could have definitely used an edit.

It is clear that when the record label and the artist wants to do something properly with these releases they can/will. Even the Sugababes original album 20th anniversary (which sold less than Forever!!) was much better handled than any of the Spice Girls 25th releases put together...

They simply don't want to/are not bothered and are not close to Universal. That much is very obvious, and it is sad... We really thougth things would change/get better in 2019 with the tour and then when Wannabe25 and Spice25 came about, at least there was some buzz around them and those releases offered something new. The album was remastered and released on various editions, offered unheard demos and mixes, even an unreleased song was included! Mel C seemed involved then.

Then it all went to shit from there on...

Yeah, and they partnered with Spotify promoting the Spice25. Then, a year later, it just went, eh???

I just saw an interaction on Spice Circle where the Orange Fan stated that he specifically told Mel C that the Spice Girls should never release new music.

He is close to thier team and has connections with them all.

When you have fans like that, specifically telling you to NOT do music, what else can we expect from the girls than the bare minimal nostalgia crap?

Jesus, it really infuriated me. What an asshole

I think the lackluster performance and reception to Headlines and Voodoo left a bad taste in their mouth when it comes to releasing any new material.

The reception to Feed Your Love was better, but not great. The track would have more replay value if it was trimmed down to 3 minutes. The last 2 minutes of the song go absolutely no where besides the beautiful outro.

I also wonder if the group and Universal were expecting Spice 25 to sell better. It is kind of odd how low-key Spiceworld 25 was.

Mel C has always said time and time again that she doesn't think they could ignite the same lightening again with new materials. I mean I don't agree but I can respect that. Just give us the unreleased materials, then!

Yeah but then whose fault is that? Headlines and Voodoo were an attempt at recreating the old sound but it sounded dated and flat... They could have worked with new producers but they wanted to bathe in nostalgia...

The video was so bad and it was clear they were not even properly together working on it. Barely promoted it either, so....

I think Feed Your Love serves the same purpose of any anniversary edition: its a demo released for the fans, it is not meant to be considered 'a new song' or even for mass consumption...

But ultimately, they didnt promote it... so thats their fault really...

To be honest I just ventured into a discussion on this release on ATRL forum and the fans are also complaining a lot about this release, how she treats her fans and legacy really bad, and how Stuart Price ruined the songs by cutting them short, etc...

It seems like it is not just us constantly complaining about poor releases but hey.... at least they've had over 40 years of materials....

They have no idea do they? LOL...

Why would he feel so entitled to tell Melanie C what she and the girls should do? Ugh, he's the worst kind of fan and I don't understand why he's always put on a pedestal. Personally I think he embellishes how close he's "connected" with them/"the team". Case in point, him stating outright only a month ago that there wouldn't be a Forever vinyl, but lo and behold there is a vinyl... and it's easy for him to just say that plans changed, to get out of looking like he just makes up what he apparently knows about.

Send him to the moon with no return flight x (kidding) (or am I)

Can anyone confirm that it was mostly Emma and Geri that wrote Headlines? I remember it being discussed on another forum at the time. It annoys me how they didn’t work together to make something better. It was clearly just something put together just to push the GH.

I do think they missed their chance at new music. Their 2007 comeback was their chance for an album, but they only cared about their solo career even then.

A new album in 2007, 4 singles and a proper world tour would’ve been perfect. Then a GH with a few new songs on that too.

I would’ve liked “Right Back at Ya” pop version added as a bonus for this Forever release. They could’ve done more.

I get Madonna fans want the full unedited versions of demos, but at least they are getting something. From a commercial and legacy standpoint it is better to remix and edit outtakes when they are officially being added to an artist’s discography. This way they are not just a bunch of old, crappy demos. They are more polished and can stand next to the rest of their catalogue.
