April 28, 20205 yr Author So I'm beginning this mammoth effort today... 10 Light Years (OMG this is by far and away the best album track so far :o ) 10 Made of Glass (this is really quite good, reminds me of Girls Aloud) Couldn't find the others immediately, will fill them in later after listening on youtube... Aw, was hoping you'd like a bit more here but at least there's a few 10s popping up! I had a feeling you'd enjoy 'Light Years', the production is magical and the song always leaves me reflecting on the album ages after it's finished. Funnily enough, 'Made of Glass' is a Xenomania production. It definitely has that edgy, unconventional style that a lot of Girls Aloud songs follow.
April 28, 20205 yr Xenomania did great production on so many songs and i do like alot of the work that they have done, they done brilliant work with Girls Aloyd. Light years the song does help you reflect on the album when you listen to it, i really remember so well how happy i was when i bought light years and listened to it in full, it was just so action packed that i didnt have any stand out songs as i loved so many of them, it was literally like a child in a sweet shop. The album was so well produced, so right for Kylie in everyway and just a brilliant listen, even now i still find the album brilliant and its a great album for lifting the mood.
April 28, 20205 yr I find it frustrating and unfair when I read articles that say Kylie has yet to make a solid album or an iconic album. There are flaws to be found on all albums and Kylie remains indifferent. Light Years is an exemplary example of a strong Kylie album that remains consistent throughout and the album has a very clear focus and direction. Not alone on Light Years, Fever and Impossible Princess have the same traits but with different sounds and production. In this sense, Kylie is totally overlooked as an album artist.
