#1 is something I’ve heard so many times I’m pretty sure I’ve danced to it many times I just didn’t know the song or artist so I went for DJ Otzi as I knew they were a one hit wonder type act just with a different song

5. Liam Gallagher - For What It's Worth

2017, #33

Correct (4): DalekTurret32, dan.G*, coi, Beverly

Other Answers:

Oasis - Don’t Look Back In Anger (Infludexton*, girlsaloudjunkie, Dan17F1)

Coldplay (n4yr)

Oasis - Slide Away (paulgilb)

Snow Patrol - Run (vibe, Jade, Jordan Lee)

Oasis - The Masterplan (Dobbo)

Delta Goodrem - Born To Try (Fisher)

Guns n Roses - Knockin On Heaven’s Door (Scene)

Keane (Rush)

Lana Del Rey - The Greatest (jimwatts)

Oasis (West)

I think over time we're all starting to finally agree that Liam was the good one from Oasis. His 2 solo albums >>> anything the High Flying Birds have released and this is the highlight from them. This wasn't a massive hit or anything but I thought it broke through a bit more than only 4 people being able to identify it.

Unsurprisingly, most of the wrong answers guess Oasis. I feel tight not giving you anything for that so take a quarter-of-a-point. Three people go for Run by Snow Patrol.

Im glad someone agrees with me on post-Oasis Liam being better than post-Oasis Noel :D I think that's definitely a minority opinion!

Obviously I wasn't a big fan of that song tho oops.

Spot on! (Although I think Wall of Glass is slightly better than FWIW)

I couldn't shake off the 'Run' similarity so trying to guess something alternative was out of the window :( my brother plays that album so much oops!
Now that I think about it, that clip did sound really similar to Run!
It really gave me Knockin' On Heaven's Door vibes but I knew it wasn't it if that makes sense.

Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes - Up Where We Belong (DalekTurret32)

Justin Timberlake - Mirrors (paulgilb)

East 17 - Stay Another Day (unreleased alternate version) (Rush)

Westlife (jimwatts)

Something from a musical (Beverly)

Billie Eilish (MrAndrewMan)

The Polar Express - Believe (Dan17F1)

This might be a weird pick for one of my all-time favourite songs but I love it so much. A friend and discovered we both knew all the words to it and I have so many fond memories of us annoying another friend by singing it to them constantly. This was the only X Factor champion to release an original song as their winner's song until Matt Terry in 2016 and that's why it's easily the best. It does have all the hallmarks on a good winners song, including a very dramatic, Westlife-esque key change. I'm not surprised at all to see them as an incorrectly guessed answer. I can see where Pete's coming from too. Wikipedia claims that this is still the 3rd fastest selling song ever in the UK, selling 313,000 copies in 2 days :o

I don't know why Shayne came to me so quick when listening to the snippets. Maybe because me and my sister both got the CD for Christmas and we spun the hell out of them.

So here we have the most popular answer here with 26/27 correct answers. The riff has become a bit iconic, for me this is possibly the best dance tune of the 2010's. I first got into by watching a YouTube video that went through the #1 singles across the globe and became obsessed with it before it was released in the UK. The song includes some of the most romantic lyrics of the decade "Do I make you feel like cheating? I'm like no, not really" OMI apparently started to work on this song in 2008 :o I wonder what took him so long to perfect it.

Please enjoy what I consider to be the only true video to this song. None of that boring 'official video' they released afterwards.

8. Lethal Bizzle - Pow! (Forward)

2005, #11

Correct (11): Infludexton*, DalekTurret32, n4yr, paulgilb, dan.G*, girlsaloudjunkie, Mack., M4NGO, vibe, Dobbo, Fisher, Scene, Rush, Jade, King Rollo, coi, StoneDragon, jimwatts, Beverly, MrAndrewMan, Zárate, Breraldine, Jordan Lee, Dan17F1, West, mdh

Half-Correct

Lethal Bizzle (Fisher, Jordan Lee)

Lethal Bizzle - Noise (Scene)

Lethal Bizzle - Rariworkout (Dan17F1)

Other Answers:

Beyoncé - Crazy In Love (vibe)

Ariana Grande (Dobbo)

Lumidee - Never Leave You (Uh Oooh, Uh Oooh) but at a confusing rhythm so you trip while trying to dance to it (Rush)

Skepta (jimwatts)

The first of 3 singles from Bizzle to peak at #11 and he still doesn't have a top 10 hit. :( This is probably the definitive grime song and is one I can remember my sister blasting when I was a little kid. It's also one of the most controversial British songs released this millennium with it still being banned from nightclubs across London for provoking violence and fights.

Here's a full list of the artists included in this song: Fumin, D Double E, Napper, Jamakabi, Neeko, Flowdan, Ozzie B, MC Forcer & Demon. There was also a verse by Hotshot but this was edited out before it's commercial release.

Here we have out first half-points of the round given out. 4 people were able to identify Bizzle without knowing the name of the song.

Listen to the YouTube link I've provided to hear some of the worst censoring I've ever heard. Some of the verses end up having about 2 words in.

Can't believe I didn't get the Liam Gallagher one, especially given that I've got the album on CD! I knew I'd heard the song, just couldn't put my finger on it. It took me ages to get 'Shout Out To My Ex', for ages I just couldn't hear it without the words.

And to weigh in on the Liam v Noel debate, I can't actually rate one as miles better than the other, they've both released some solid tracks post-Oasis. Of the five albums they've released between them, Noel's debut is probably my favourite, closely followed by Liam's debut.
