It was a really poorly handled release.

 

Dannii had been a way for a while off the back of a flop era, then got a ‘surprise’ hit with AIWD so they rush released the album a few weeks later - there was no build up or hype to it and 1 hit single wasn’t enough to translate into album sales.

 

 

Didnt NN sell out a few items on initial release?

At the time I wasn't into dannii and wasn't invested enough to buy the album, it was only years later when I bought it.

Yes, the cassette (limited to 300) and Boxset with bonus signed CD (limited to 1,000) sold out prior to release for NN - guessing this is more of a standard release and Cherry Red seem to release a run of formats rather than limited editions.

 

Although it appears the signed print with vinyl is still available and Dannii said she signed 1,000 of them.

Australian fans have recipes their items!!

The have received them days before the release date lol

I guess Cherry Red dispatched them really early to international fans to attempt to get there close to release day but loads have got them early :lol:

No, but I’ve seen multiple posts from fans in America and Australia that have received it now.

 

I received all the Kylie reissues on release day from Cherry Red so hoping it’ll be the same for Girl.

There isn’t, although I do see Spotify has ‘Girl 25 - Out Now’ advertised as “artist pick” at the top of her page with a link to the original album.

Missed opportunity - Cherry Red obviously we’re only given rights to physical media rather than digital, a shame the original label hasn’t released a digital version too.

My Girl package just arrived :cheer: (no dispatch note so didn’t even know it had been sent).

 

I got 2 x vinyl, 3 x AIWD 2020 and 1 x Boxset - was meant to get 2 x signed prints with the order but they included a 3rd one too.
