A #3 would be lovely to see but Ariana really loves those even peaks when she isn’t getting a #1.

 

2, 4 and 8 are real favourites of hers.

 

I’m still really liking this. This probably means nothing as well but my mam loves this song and she’s never been really huge on Ariana before (aside from One Last Time) I played it to her and she said “that’s what someone like her should be singing” :lol: :lol:

 

I’m now gonna find all her mid tempo / ballad hits from each albums and play them to her and pray she becomes a new fan. My mam always says she isn’t keen on today’s females much but when I actually play her songs she likes the odd one of them.

I feel like (after this week) this could hold up better than boyfriend and don’t call me angel.

 

It’s the type of song I could see being performed in a battle round on The Voice or be used during some teen love scene on a film or on Hollyoaks or something. I can see it perhaps being a long runner on the charts regardless of the peak.

 

It’s definitely something what would really propel if awards shows were happening :( but I can just picture someone singing this on a TV show already. It’s got that sort of old school feel to it what would get mums on board to vote.

It's a great debut and nothing to downplay, but I am a little gutted that it's not top 3! Still, really enjoying the song and hope it sticks around :heart:

It did manage a week in the top 10 on Spotify by keeping at #9.

It is a shame to see this fall out the Top 3, particularly in the lowest sales week of the year, but I feel like this could perform more consistently than Ariana's previous non-album releases.

Not that far behind the other two so it's not too bad, especially when you bare in mind there's likely an inevitable, slight Ariana fatigue. Debuts with higher sales than 'yummy' did (35,172).

I was looking through Boyfriend's chart run the other day and it acc really impressed me how it did! It wasn't huge but I always thought it was way more frontloaded than that. Don't Call Me Angel...not so much. I honestly think 'How I Look On You' would've stayed longer in the chart.

Yeah 'boyfriend' did have a bit of a week 2 drop but after that the rest of its run was pretty stable!

Ariana's bundles are all just physical formats of the song right? I'm not a massive fan of this recent trend of bundles with singles to inflate first week chart positions (it's bad enough that bundles have made a total mockery of the album charts in the US without them infiltrating the Hot 100 as well) but as far as bundles go that seems pretty fair, especially as it's raising money for charity and those bundles will do way more for that than downloads and streams.

 

In any case though we don't mind "illegal" "chart manipulation" to make sure 6ix9ine doesn't get #1 lol

The corresponding merch available includes lots of physical formats (cassettes, vinyl, CDs etc) but there appears to be a few other bits on offer like relevant t-shirts, hoodies and face masks. But yeah it’s for charity like you say!
