Burning Up changes the tempo again after the easy listening of Your Love.

 

This is prob one of the weakest on the album and I was disappointed she performed this on the tour ahead of some greater songs that didn’t get performed.

I still can't believe I still know the lyrics to this song since I can't have listened to it in a decade or so :lol:

It falls short on the other album offerings.

'Burning Up' is such a quirky track! It starts off one way and throws you on a different course by the chorus. It would be easy to finish the album with something like 'Your Love' but I like that the album throws you one more surprise.

its not one i listen to much and wont really either

I felt that "Love Affair" got overlooked at the time, probably due to it being towards the end of the album, but glad its ended up getting more praise now (especially as its her biggest selling album track)

Burning Up in areas feels it is a demo track that was never 100% mastered.

maybe if done differently it could be much better, it was like the early version of head and look how great that turned out

One weaker track is allowed :lol:

its the cup of tea song on the album!

Tightrope, a song highlighting Kylie does great album tracks and also some great songs get excluded from the mainstream album releases.

Surprising that "Burning Up" was ever considered to be a possible 5th single, considering there's far stronger tracks like "LA" or the title track. Gladly this was only rumoured & nothing ever came of it.

This made the anti tour and went down really well

Tightrope is beautiful with a strong sing along chorus with a great melody flowing through as a backdrop to the song.

This is one of my favourite bonus songs, cannot believe it was left off the album! I'm glad it has its strong following among Kylie fans - the Anti Tour performance was fantastic and hearing the audience singing back the lyrics in the video gives the song so much poignancy.

I would have had this on the main album head of burning up, not a song I have listened to loads but listening to it again has got me more into to, the chorus is really good.

I think it was essentially because her live performance of it on the Fever tour was so praised that they considered throwing it out with a tour video.

 

Today it probably would've been thrown out as a "promo single" with the tour video on her YouTube channel.
