This is genuinely really hitting me. She’s quite hit and miss for me but when she gets it right she gets it right and I think this is perfect for someone like Katy right now! I sort of see the Kelly Clarkson vibes / comments too but this is much better than what I was thinking. I’m here for this era actually!

I really have no idea how this will do lol. I'd expect a debut around #30, I'd be surprised if it was much higher. Am I just being really pessimistic? :lol: I don't see this having a long chart run sadly.

I think the song is good. I listened to it twice in a row so that's a good thing at least.

Genuinely shocked that it's only 6th on New Music Friday! I even overlooked that it was on there and assumed it wasn't actually being released today.

 

This really doesn't do anything for me. :( I'm really surprised they thought this felt like comeback material.

I absolutely adore this. My favourite of hers in so long.

 

NRO was amazing and exactly what she needed but this is exactly the kind of thing I love from Katy 😍

I hope it does ok for her, surely it’ll do better than everything since NRO?

I was hoping for better but I just need to accept as a fan of hers that it's unlikely she'll have big success again. Doesn't affect the music I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That isn't the best Spotify debut and its lead on iTunes has been fairly low considering how low the market is anyway. Hopefully it stabilises, it seems like the sort of song that could have some sort of longevity because it is perfect for the radio! The song has grown with each listen for me - i'm still not raving about it, but it's nice x

I’m thinking that this will remain stable enough on streaming sites through the week and perhaps climb once radio play really kicks in.

 

I’m predicting a top 30 debut for this now maybe around #26.

It's not on Hot Hits UK and was never going to debut much higher, especially only being 7 on New Music Friday.

 

Let's just hope it's not a sign of playlist support stopping for her altogether and she gets added later on.
