i_o has quickly come into prominence in EDM helped by the support of deadmau5, and you can definitely hear the influence in this new track today with Lights. recommended!

The long awaited Castles in the Sky is out today

 

That new version of Castles In the Sky is great. I might even prefer it to the original, it sounds more powerful.

It's been confirmed today that i_o has passed away, aged 30. That is so sad to hear :(

This is devastating :( his music is really fresh, 'annihilation' was riding high in my chart earlier this year. RIP </3

his fusion of trance/techno really made him stand out. he was only getting better too, that 'Castles in the Sky' remake is amazing.

cause of death revealed as a result of a thyroid disorder.

 

I’m glad we can now know that he didn’t take his own life but this is still nonetheless tragic, being such a promising young talent :(

His first (and likely, only) posthumous release Warehouse Summer will be released 23rd November
