May 24, 20206 yr Looking like it might be pretty close for the #1 spot. I'm still expecting DaBaby to probably pull it back by the end of the week but Gaga & Ari putting up a decent fight.
May 25, 20206 yr Rain On Me (1.5m in 2 days) getting nearly 3x the YouTube streams as Rockstar. Really don't see how it loses the #1 if it holds up decently well. It still has a big sales advantage and is only getting slightly less streams on Spotify and AM
May 25, 20206 yr Spotify & Apple Music count for a large majority of the units for the week though - YouTube is weighted much lower as all YT streams are on the ad-funded ratio of 600:1, and sales while being higher weighted than streams are only able to make a difference if streams are very close or if one song has an absolutely enormous lead on sales (like the recent charity #1s). It definitely could be enough to make up the difference if she remains close behind DaBaby on Spotify and Apple all week but it's too early to be confident either way. We don't actually have an idea of how far behind she is on Apple as well, just that she's at #2.
May 25, 20206 yr Ohh. I didn't know YouTube streams were weighted that low. Will be a lot tougher then, but I'm still optimistic atm.

May 25, 20206 yr Firstly, the remix isn’t that great. Secondly, three new entries from KSI and new GaGrande are above it- without those new entries it would have comfortably been at 13. BMH will be a long-running hit in the top-twenty; don’t worry. Not if it goes on ACR next week  Looks like she needs to get Beyonce/Nicki Minaj/Doja Cat to get on her song to help :P
May 25, 20206 yr Not if it goes on ACR next week  Looks like she needs to get Beyonce/Nicki Minaj/Doja Cat to get on her song to help :P I tweeted Dua's label and management numerous times over the last few days to DO SOMETHING Surely they didn't think that tragic Jax Jones remix was going to save Break My Heart from ACR?

I know not many people signed up for it, or at least it was struggling to attract paying customers when it first launched in 2017 or whenever it was (I had a free three month trial thanks to Music Week and then reverted back to the ad-funded version once the three months were up) but I'm sure it was classed as premium streams for chart purposes.
May 25, 20206 yr Youtube data per kworb Friday: 1 NEW KSI - Cap 1,025K 2 NEW Gaga 800K 3 6ix9ine Gooba 600k 4 DaBaby 550k Saturday: 1 2 Gaga nearly 1,500K 2 1 KSI - Cap 1,150K 3 3 6ix9ine 600k 4 4 Dababy 550K So Gaga doing very well on Saturday, 3 times more than DaBaby
May 25, 20206 yr So Gaga has a combined lead on YouTube of 1,185,000 views if Kworb is to be believed. That’s an absolute minimum of 1,975 extra sales over Rockstar assuming all views are adfunded (which they won’t be) Edited May 25, 20206 yr by John-James
May 25, 20206 yr I know it probably won't add much on, but Rain On Me has the audio Youtube video too. Any idea how many sales that could've added on or has that already been combined with the info above?
May 25, 20206 yr I would be seriously impressed if Lady Gaga can pull out a No 1 debut with "Rain On Me" especially when her career has had such a rollercoaster ride the last couple of years, and "ROCKSTAR" is still yet to peak in popularity whilst still being No 1. Edited May 25, 20206 yr by PeaceMob
May 25, 20206 yr I'll be gutted if the ladies don't get number 1 with this. Although it's off to a rock solid start, I've got an awful feeling they'll still be number 1 on Thursday's update but lose it by Friday.
May 25, 20206 yr i don’t get all the hype behind Rain on Me, it sounds like a leftover from The Fame era, if it wasn’t for Ariana it would have barely made the top 20....
May 25, 20206 yr i don’t get all the hype behind Rain on Me, it sounds like a leftover from The Fame era, if it wasn’t for Ariana it would have barely made the top 20.... Really? Gaga's fans managed to get Stupid Love to the top 5, and Rain on Me is a better track. I was slightly underwhelmed at first, but it grew on me so quickly and the video sealed the deal. It's a banger.

I think it would’ve easily been top 5 tbh even without Ariana. Ariana is helping to a degree but even without her I think this would’ve had at least a Stupid Love like debut.
May 25, 20206 yr Plus she isn’t a racist she was indoctrinated into a white supremicist group at a very young age. Is this seriously true? I said last week (about 6ix9ine) that young people are messed up and that there'll eventually be white supremacists in the chart. Didn't expect to be proven right within a week though lol.
May 25, 20206 yr The paid for YouTube Music definitely still exists - I get adverts for it - but I don't think many people actually use it.
