This is more like it though. One of her ALL TIME GREATS. Such a special song and it shouldn't have been left for 5th single. I genuinely think it should have been the second single (nothing would've made sense past BTW being the lead). It is so rousing and passionate. What a song :wub:

Marry the Night is absolutely everything. Gorgeous meaning, epic video, absolutely massive chorus, an out of this world instrumental, emotional, huge, amazing in every way, talented...let me go weep even harder.

 

My second favourite ever Lady Gaga song.

I wanted Marry The Night to be huge. I was so disappointed that it wasn't a Top 10 smash.

I watched the video for this (for the first time in full I think :ph34r:) the other day, and I was in tears. :cry: Everything about this is just so special! <3

This really deserved a top 10 peak to its name! Obviously it did VERY well for a 5th single from a gigantic album but nevertheless! Brilliant track and works so well as the album opener too.

This would have charted better and been a bigger hit, had Yoü and I not been a single inbetween TEOG and this, I think :( A great song and fully worthy of being a single. So I'm really happy it got it's moment eventually! :wub:

Applause is... not a massive fave of mine. I appreciate it for what it is, but it is not special like many of her singles. It also SHOULD NOT BE THE ALBUM'S CLOSING TRACK WHEN GYPSY WOULD'VE ENDED IT BETTER.

This is the point where I became quite disappointed by Gaga. A lot of people didn't seem to think much of the Born This Way album and I always used to love it, but Applause lost me.

Marry the Night into Applause is...an interesting transition :lol:

 

I have a lot of time for Applause, good memories from when it came out! I remember the excitement and buzz so clearly. Not her absolute best song but it gets a hard time these days I think!

From an 11/10 career highlight to... this. :kink:

 

I can remember so vividly the whole Roar vs. Applause situation :lol: This is still not a favourite of mine at all, but it has grown on me with time.

This is a great pop song but it's not one of my faves. That infectious chorus does make me smile tho :wub:
