Applause is still at least 9/10 for me, so clever although not so EUPHORIC as her biggest singles.

I actually think this is a bit underrated. It doesn't deserve the hate it gets. I think it balanced the erratic and crazy nature of the ARTPOP era and the commercial appeal that could have been, perfectly. I love the VMA (?) performance of this!

This era had so much pain bubbling behind the scenes and internally for Gaga. In terms of the public affection, it is a bit of a stain on her career, but I know the fans still hold love for it. I am conflicted :(

Top 3 from ARTPOP. What a monster of a song 'DWUW' is. Xtina sounds INCREDIBLE on it too :heart:

Applause is a good pop song but it followed a run of huge pop songs that were among her best ever singles. A very difficult act to follow.

DWUW still sounds so brilliantly smooth and polished. I always liked the Xtina version a lot so I'm really not bothered about it being the only version on streaming (I've also switched to this version on my iTunes playlists!)

LOVE DWUW with Xtina. It deserved to be so much bigger.

I LOVED this at the time. Obviously now it is less of a favourite. I am just glad the video never surfaced looking back. Christina version isn't as good as the original but I guess it's all we have got now!

The original to this was a career highlight (sorry not sorry - I'd slot it between MTN & Telephone). It's a GREAT song. I'm so disappointed it got tainted by him but unpopular opinion... Xtinct ruins this completely with her over screeching </3 :(

The Xtina version is DIFFERENT. I wouldn't say it was better or worse than the (tainted) original. I just loved the idea of two of my faves together.
