This album has grown on me the most in recent time. It doesn't have as many of the amazing singles of the other eras but it more than makes up for it in album tracks to come. The opener is.. ok. It's not a huge favourite of mine but it's undeniably a classic!

ICONIC. One of the ultimate reinventions of a popstar! Stripping away her girl next door, bubblegum pop image for a more daring and sexy one! Such an iconic moment in her career. The looks, styling, music video, the performances! I love this song so much and it ages really, really well!

I don't know why, but I think I blocked everything about that performance when I saw Britney live during that concert in Lima. :lol:

I've had to start from Overprotected because I lost track of the time

One of my top 5 Britney songs and the best on this album. SO UNDERRATED! :wub: :wub:

Very hard to follow 'Slave' but this is still very punchy and important lyrically!

Probably the song I find to be her most underrated, in terms of fanbase appreciation AND general public. Just amazing production and another amazingly iconic look in the video!

 

I find the Darkchild remix boring, personally but the video for that... one of her best!

This definitely feels underrated in her back catalogue. It's absolutely brilliant though and a true f*** you to those that thought she would stick in the lane that the media perhaps wanted from her, all innocent and twee.

It's a tough job to follow that opening duo but this is a strong track!! The chorus in particular :wub:

Lonely is brilliant, the chorus is such a statement! It's a great transition from Overprotected too :heart: now I live for me ~

OMG Lonely was and still is one of the best album tracks :wub:

 

I think I forgot how cohesive this album is :wub:
