I like this but again, it's just bland and filler-y to me. Mehhhhhhhhhh.

This version of DNA is stunning. They have some gorgeous unplugged/acoustic versions of their songs when they actually get the chance to record them and not have their vocals isolated and added over an acoustic guitar (which has happened a lot over the last couple of eras or so :drama:)

It's hard to rank remixed versions of songs so I think I'll leave my ranking there, but still listening. This is so pretty  their harmonies shine as ever <3

Yeh that's me done with rankings too.

It's nice to have a different version of 'DNA' and it adds a new drama too it, but I don't feel like it's essential at all. It's no 'Touch (Acoustic)'.

Haha. That's fair! I wasn't going to, but thought it'd be interesting to see where they would have placed.
I remember this music video premiering when I had a sick day off school, so that brightened it up a bit (quite literally with that colour palette ).

I prefer the single mix to the album version... a fair bit. I feel like it elevates it as a song more and prevents it from sounding completely dated. Missy's verse is strong too!

Getting Missy so early into their career *.*

Yeah Missy and T-Boz from TLC were great coups for their debut era *.* legends in their respective fields!

Thanks for this Jonjo! Enjoyed revisiting 'DNA' a lot <3 bring on 'Salute' next time as I love that album even more

That was definitely an accolade in itself!

WELL Thanks so much Jonjo for being an excellent host, I look forward to the 'Salute' party.

Thank you to those of you who took part! I've loved relistening to this as, like I said before, it'd been a while since I last heard it in full!

Hope you can join for 'Salute' next week! Time TBC but it'll be around this time again!

SO excited for 'Salute'!

My rankings would be

1. Wings

2. DNA

3. Red Planet

4. We Are Who We Are

5. Change Your Life

6. Stereo Soldier

7. Pretend It's OK

8. Always Be Together

9. Turn Your Face

10. Love Drunk

11. How Ya Doin

12. Going Nowhere

13. Case Closed

14. Make You Believe

15. Madhouse

I had forgotten what most all of the album tracks were like so I really enjoyed hearing it again. It certainly felt like the album peaked in the first half.

How Ya Doin sounded better than I remembered it sounding. I do prefer it without Missy's feature unfortunately. But still De La Soul's use of the sample >>>

Overall it really felt like Leigh-Anne & Jesy's album. Perrie sounded weird at times and Jade didn't get anywhere near enough chances to shine.
