June 19, 20223 yr I’ve binge watched all of this over the weekend The last season was disappointing, for the most part, for me anyways. Benji was just an awful non entity of a character and so was the shoe horned addiction plot. It made me sad that the producers saw him and Victor as end game as I thought Victor had way more chemistry with Rahim. The way they dropped that story was disappointing. I’m also a bit gutted that Pilar and Felix didn’t end up together, and thought the whole thing was so sloppily written. Pilar should’ve understood that Felix was just trying to diffuse the situation between her parents. There were a few highlights though for me: the story between Mia and Andrew (who ended up being my favourite character) was well done, as was the pairing between Lake and Lucy. I will miss this show though as even though the last series wasn’t great it was still comforting.
June 25, 20223 yr Such a shame this has come to an end. I feel they could have got 1/2 more series out of it, it didn’t feel to me as thought we didn’t get a real conclusion…
June 10, 20241 yr Finally got around to finishing this ( ) it was cute enough. But the third series was just full of plot conveniences and some really cringe writing that it took it out of me slightly. But I still ended up enjoying it. I do think Victor should have ended up with Nick. I thought they were v cute together. I wasn’t a big fan of Benji tbh. Idk, I just think his story got a bit over convulated and a bit much at times, that it just made him more unlikeable. I’d like to see a spin-off series happen. Maybe a lesbian story, bisexual, asexual, trans stories etc.. I think there’s scope there for those kind of stories to continue within this world.
June 10, 20241 yr I didn't mind the ending - I liked how Benji's character wasn't just straight forward. Definitely the sort of couple that have a 'happy ending for now' story (like with most teen romances) There was a spin off book to Simon vs The Homo Sapiens (Leah on the Offbeat) that featured a bisexual romance (although I have a bi friend who wasn't a fan of the representation in that book)
