Quite shocked ILAB didn't make the top 10 since I always thought Buzzjack stans Nelly Furtado. That Outkast song is not one I've ever cared for. Much prefer 'Hey Ya' and 'Roses'.

14 Resurection – PPK 179 pts.

13 Touch Me - Rui Da Silva featuring Cassandra 181 pts.

:cheeseblock:

This section is hurting me so much...two of my faves out and so close to qualify. I will never forgive you Buzzjack for this.

Both are trance/dance classics

I'm not too bothered by those two missing out. :kink: Although I quite like the PPK one. I really hope Wheatus have made it in. :cheeseblock:
I have no recollection of PPK, couldn't have told you who or what type of song it is. Giving it a listen now, it's decent but wouldn't have scored points - this was definitely one of the best heats.

12 Survivor - Destiny's Child 188 pts.

And oops this didn't survive till the end.

I always found this little overrated but I acknowledge that people love it.

and from the list below, one missed top 10 by just 7 points :o :drama:

All for You - Janet Jackson

Another Chance - Roger Sanchez

Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie Minogue

Castles In The Sky - Ian Van Dahl

Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz

Don't Stop Movin' - S Club 7

Here With Me - Dido

Lady Marmalade - Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya & Pink

Murder On The Dancefloor – Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus

Whole Again - Atomic Kitten

And Jay is responsible for sealing fate for that one and kicked out of the top 10 :kink:

I hope I don't regret agreeing to the extension. :kink:

11 Here With Me - Dido 198 pts.

Yes, blame it on Jay for kicking this out of top 10 the last minute. I won't reveal which song got in instead but #11 could have been one of the qualifiers below:

2001 Qualifiers (in alphabetic order):

All for You - Janet Jackson

Another Chance - Roger Sanchez

Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie Minogue

Castles In The Sky - Ian Van Dahl

Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz

Don't Stop Movin' - S Club 7

Lady Marmalade - Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya & Pink

Murder On The Dancefloor – Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Teenage Dirtbag - Wheatus

Whole Again - Atomic Kitten

Congrats to those songs and thanks for commenting.

Scene will bring 2002 results on Friday tomorrow if I am not mistaken!!!

I've no idea what that Janet Jackson song is and never liked Castles In The Sky but the rest of the qualifiers are decent enough - great to see 3 of my top 4 making it!

Such a varied selection. I'm not fussed about 'Here With Me' being the unlucky song missing out.

And I'll be delivering the 2002 results TOMORROW. :kink: I work until 8pm so join me at 8.30PM tomorrow evening in this thread for the 2002 results. :cheer: I may post the 51-75 section early tomorrow morning if I wake up early enough.

I knew PPK wouldn't make it so I'll take 14th for that, it has to be my fave of the lot. Shame we couldn't get Touch Me in too. Big yes for Roger Sanchez, Ian van Dahl, Kylie and Sophie anyhow.

Survivor

yasss for Don't Stop Movin, Lady Marmalade, Murder On The Dancefloor & Whole Again making it, glad some of my high votes made it  CGYOOMH also made my votes and whilst they didn't make my top 20, I don't mind All For You/Another Chance/Clint Eastwood so a good selection overall.

Yikes at teenage dirtbag tho, always hated that song with a passion :puke2: :puke2:

really hoping Kiss Kiss can pull through for 2002 ahh

I will post the 50-75 section this morning and will return around 8.30pm to deliver the rest of the results!! :cheer:

Oops Dido! D: I do like that song a lot actually, but I couldn't fit it into my votes.

I'm incredibly surprised that Janet - All for You finished Top 10! :o I love it, I just wasn't expecting it to be that well known from other voters. It being ahead of #1 songs by Destiny's Child and Jennifer Lopez is not something I would have ever predicted.

Justice for Emma Bunton... she deserved more than being outside the Top 20. :drama:

First let's reveal the three songs that received zero points.

Blazin’ Squad – Crossroads
Will Young & Gareth Gates – The Long And Winding Road
Ant & Dec – We’re On The Ball

51-72

51. R Kelly – The World’s Greatest 36 points
52. Ja Rule featuring Ashanti – Always On Time 35 points
53. N Sync – Girlfriend 33 points
54. X-Press 2 – Lazy 31 points
55. Blue – Fly By II 28 points
56. Truth Hurts featuring Rakim – Addictive 27 points
57. Darren Hayes – Insatiable 25 points
58. Nelly – Hot In Herre 21 points
59. George Harrison – My Sweet Lord 19 points
60. Madhouse – Like A Prayer 18 points

61. Big Brovaz – Nu Flow 17 points
62. Blue featuring Elton John – Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word 15 points
63. One True Voice – Sacred Trust 14 points
64. Will Young – Anything Is Possible 13 points
65. Oasis – The Hindu Times 13 points
66. Shaggy and Ali G – Me Julie 11 points
67. Will Smith featuring Tra-Nox – Black Suits Comin’ (Nod Ya Head) 7 points
68. Westlife – Unbreakable 7 points
69. Blue – One Love 6 points
70. Will Young – Light My Fire 4 points
71. Gareth Gates – Unchained Melody 4 points
72. Ronan Keating – If Tomorrow Never Comes 1 point

No massive losses in the bottom section of this heat although we do lose the Blue & Elton collaboration 'Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word' and Big Brovaz's debut hit 'Nu Flow' which I personally thought would rank higher. I forgot to take out 'My Sweet Lord' from the list since it's a pre-2000 single but luckily it only manages to get to #59 here. Nelly's classic 'Hot In Herre' which has an annoying spelling error fails to make much of an impression with voters and limps in at #58. R Kelly shockingly manages to finish just below the top 50. I'm intrigued to see how his 'Ignition' performs in the next heat. :kink: Elsewhere, Popstars: The Rivals losers One True Voice only manage to reach #63 with their debut single - where will their rivals Girls Aloud finish with 'Sound Of The Underground'?... Find out this evening. :kink:
Gutted to see Here With Me stuck at 11 but at the same time impressed that Dido got so many votes on Buzzjack!

Some great songs there from the likes of Blue, R Kelly (controversial now), Nelly and Big Brovas. 'Insatiable' should be higher. I quite like 'Sacred Trust' and 'We're On The Ball' ( ) latter not surprised it got nothing though.

I know it didn't make my 20 but ITNC is one of Ronans best, doesn't deserve to be the lowest song (excluding the songs that got 0) :(
