Posted June 25, 20205 yr The announcement you've ALL been waiting for: AF IDOL: THE SPIN-OFF We would like to thank everyone for their participation in both of the AF Idol competitions, they've been roaring successes (despite a couple of hiccups and "drama"). However, we want to test a spin-off version of this contest, to potentially make it a bi-annual kind of contest (the same 20 AF's with the same/similar songs each time would get boring to have more than once a year) - but also, if successful, we want to work on this being a thing for casual members to take part and participate in, potentially kick-starting in the near future (maybe Q4 sometime? - dates to be known closer to the time). Here's how this spin-off is likely to work: - TEN ROUNDS of loosely themed categories. - The AF Inner-Circle + Upper MGMT will choose ANY ARTIST who hasn't got an Artist Forum on this site. - This will be NO ELIMINATIONS (so all artists in EVERY round) - Just like the preps for their forums, we'll have an idea of what songs we want to send, but in this forum (The AF Hub) there will be dedicated topics to each artist to help us come to the decision of what to send to each round. - The winner is determined by AVERAGE POINTS - The rounds will 48 HOUR voting windows again. - This is a TRIAL run. If a success, we will be working on what worked and what didn't, to hopefully improve it in time for us to open it up to ALL OF YOU. We're excited to see how this goes. We won't be starting this straight away, we want to allow a breather between this and the testing of the format etc.. so a start date will be announced in due course. But potentially when the Summer Holidays start! (This was initially going to start earlier due to hoping to capitalise on lockdown, but as that's being eased (ugh) really soon, we're thinking of another date & maybe it's best to give the competition a little break/breather at least.)

June 25, 20205 yr Can we possibly suggest some artists for this as if we can I’d like to go for The Weeknd. Just to balance out as I Imagine there’ll be a fair few female forums. Excited for this though!
