Just listening through, I do like it but I feel it misses the magic of their earlier material.

The track Young Dumb Thrills is pretty cool though.

Yeah I kinda agree with that comment. There's some definite standout tracks though, not just Young Dumb Thrills but I also love 'Another Song About Love' and 'Head Up'. I don't dislike any songs which is good because it means the rest of the album will probably grow on me with repeated listens :D

I can't actually remember the last time I stayed up until midnight just to listen to a new album

Not sure why the last 4 songs are basically only sung by Danny but they are the strongest for me especially ‘Wild and Young’.

Listened to the album twice through today from start to finish - absolutely love it! Exactly how I feel McFly should sound in 2020!

Instant hits for me: another song about love, tonight is the night, young dumb thrills, mad about you, wild and young, not the end

Growers: you’re not special, sink or song, like I can

Overall though, very strong album for me and I’m sure I’ll have it on repeat for months :) really hope it does well commercially for them!

Don't for the Hour Documentary tonight at 6:40 on ITV.

They do some live songs too.

Tuned in to the last half hour or so. It's pretty good, I'll probs watch the whole thing at some point.

Can we get a live performance of Not Alone plz? My absolute favourite track of theirs and it's so fitting for what Dougie went through.

The documentary was fantastic. Such a good platform for them and they came off really well from it. Hope it gives the album a little boost too.
This album is brilliant. Had it on all day doing house work and think I managed 4 run throughs of it. Only 1 track is a bit filler but the other 11 are superb. Their strongest album for me.

Number 2 in the midweeks with 13.9k sold B-) better than I was expecting if I'm honest!

That's quite an excellent achievement and sales for them, so pleased for them. The album is a corker ('Head Up' is my favourite) and I loved the documentary on ITV over the weekend.

They announced on This Morning today that they are launching a brand new subscription streaming service on Friday at 9am called McFly: Total Access. This IGTV explains it a little bit more:

Basically it'll be a dedicated online hub with regular live streamed gigs from their new studio, as well as much of their filmed live back catalogue, fully restored versions of all their official music videos and on the site's launch this Friday to mark it being one year on there'll be the full O2 Arena comeback show from last year. £9.99 a month or £99 for a year's subscription. I'm sold I think!

Would you all like to participate in a McFly singles rate? I can't remember if they've ever had one, but I'd be intrigued to see what Buzzjack's favourite McFly single is.

Where have you been buying the CD from?

Tesco are not stocking it they have said. I know ASDA are but can't find it at any other supermarket.

The album has grown on me over the last week to be honest.

Yessss!

YES! Do it!

Really pleased for the guys that this got to number 2, you can tell they’re really happy! Also glad it sold more in its first week than above the noise! Does anybody know how well the album did on streaming? I saw someone on Twitter say it had 4 million streams on Spotify but no idea how true this.

I also wondered if anyone knows how the album performed in other countries? Did it reach the charts in Brazil where they’re pretty big etc?
