July 11, 20204 yr I think they only went with 'I Was Gonna Cancel' because Pharrell was the man of the moment and they thought having his association would help, which I can understand. I think they probably knew the campaign was entirely doomed and that was their best bet.
July 11, 20204 yr Author Originally 'Beautiful' was set to be the 2nd single in May '14, but neither artists schedules matched , so they went with 'I Was Gonna Cancel', for that exact reason Tawdry Hepburn said; Pharrell's name was on it. Which did kinda make sense, but the general public's not gonna know that, why didn't they just have him feature on it. (may have helped...a little), but honestly,, it still would have flopped badly.
July 12, 20204 yr I’m in the minority and I loved beautiful then and still do now, I think it would have done much better than I was gonna cancel if they had a video with them both in it and did a performance.

July 18, 20204 yr Not a good time for Kylie fans - This album is one I don't play much 1) Into The Blue - by far the best track on the album and thank goodness they did start with it - I do still listen to this track 2) Sexercise - Yeah I do like this song - a bit risky but it is fun Massive gap now I don't like any of these songs really 3) I Was Gonna Cancel - I know this song has a story of why it was made but it isn't that good 4) Beautiful (ft Enrique Igelesias)* - I hate the vocoder on this track - over produced 5) Crystalize - This is just awful one of her worst songs ever !!
