in the last contest scoring us a new peak at #2 and us poisoning Bal, we now have the pleasure of inflicting our choice of theme on you all! Mwahahaha!

And in an on-brand for us choice we've gone for VOCAL dance as this month's pick. That means (as Wanda's already hinted!) NO instrumental only tracks!

PM entries to myself (J00psyMethyd) as soon as you can think of one, with the normal format of Artist, Track Title, and a link to the track. Aside from vocals being a prominent element, this is free theme, so feel free to go nuts! We'll have confirmations open for a week from today, that takes us to 15 Jul. to close, and then a two week voting window will take us to the end of July.

Entries will of course face veto thanks to the fabulous dance mods who will have discretion. As ever, don't send anything that's been sent before, and if an artist is duplicated, whoever sent them first will have precedence. Additionally, don't reveal what you sent, that's my job once they're all in!

The thinking was, this might be a good challenge for some of you who are already pretty familiar with various dance subgenres, and additionally, we should see a nice variety of entries this way! now that's a challenge! Not in finding a track, I'm sure I can do that, but judging the right amount of vocals to put in and so many directions I could go, I'll have to have a think what's best to send here.

LOVE this open theme. so many choices we could go for! I've gone for a bit of a cheeky choice that might get vetoed but it's my most played vocal dance song of the year that isn't Franky Wah's "Come Together".

Are sampled vocals from another song or source that recur throughout OK for this? I have a few options and it may not be that one I go for, but I just wanted to make sure.

one thing I say is make sure the song has a good amount of lyrics. we won’t be accepting songs that are mostly instrumental but have ten or so seconds of vocal.

what about repetitive lyric throughout the song?

As said there needs to be significant vocal. If you want to send the same five words spoken over and over again then they need to make up a significant part of the song...

So I've never entered before but thought I would as there are a couple of things I'd quite like to send to BJSC but probably won't get round to so was hoping one or both would fit here, but they're both instrumentals :lol: I'll have to have a think

I think nearly all of my previous Club Bizarre entries have been instrumental or at least only had very minor vocals so this contest will definitely be something relatively new for me lmao.
