Do you like Dreamlover, Dandy? I've always felt that it shares some DNA with Always Be My Baby, in that they're both uplifting/breezy pop songs.

I love My All, but I can already anticipate the number of participants who would dismiss it as being boring D: I'm glad that everyone who has replied so far considers it to be one of her very best!

I just ranked them (I used https://czeckd.github.io/preference-revealer/dist/ to help me) and it resulted in...

1 Dreamlover

2 My All

3 Honey

4 It's Like That

5 Touch My Body

6 Without You

7 Emotions

8 Anytime You Need a Friend

9 Hero

10 Obsessed

The Distance is a major fan favourite, is generally considered as being the highlight track from 'Caution', and regarded as a missed single opportunity!
Interesting, didn't recall that. My favourite song from the album was 'One Mo' Gen' but I'm sure that's a very random opinion.

My rank is:

Honey

Emotions

Touch My Body

Obsessed

Anytime You Need a Friend

It's Like That

My All

Dreamlover

Without You

Hero

Here's what I got...

Hero

It's Like That

Obsessed

---

Dreamlover

Emotions

Honey

Touch My Body

Without You

Anytime You Need a Friend

My All

Those below the line are likely to be in my votes, depending on what else is sent. Above the line and I would say they're more or less guaranteed from me, however I understand that one of the songs below the line may actually be more beneficial in the contest.

I'd LOOOOVE for ILT to get a moment tho *.* but I feel that it is too late/competitive to be used in this free choice.

If we're considering Christmas songs though, it has to be the super underrated 'Oh Santa!' *.*
Jay - I quite like dreamlover, it’s probably next in line for me but it’s not a huge fave tbh

Fantasy

Emotions

Heartbreaker

Don't Forget About Us

Obsessed

We Belong Together

Touch My Body

Without You

I Stay In Love

Love Takes Time

I'm a bit dismayed, I really thought it would be more appreciated than that. :( It's such a lovely song. Well, I'm at least glad that 4 others liked it enough to vote for it.

Round 11 is Should've Been a Single - I appreciate all suggestions.

I'm not sure which Mariah songs BuzzJack voters will respond well to...

Migrate was mentioned a few times before now. It's often regarded as major missed opportunity in Mariah's career, so it fits the theme nicely, but whether it's the best choice to go with, I don't really know. How do we feel about it?

It’s okay, not amazing though. Sorry that’s not much help  and I don’t know enough to suggest an alternative either :/

ps really surprised Dreamlover came last. I couldn’t quite find room for it but it was far from the worst song of the round

Love Migrate! Think it would fit this perfectly. Determined to actually vote this round after missing all the others so far haha.

I've been listening to her debut a lot recently and think You Need Me would've been a great single choice.

It might be one that people aren't that familiar with though so could be a risky choice.

what about I Don't Wanna Cry? was never a UK single

A belated thank you for all your feedback!

I Don't Wanna Cry wasn't eligible for this one, Bjork :( With it having a single status in America, I couldn't go with the technicality of it not being a single in the UK.

Thanks for recommending You Need Me, Cremey! I wasn't familiar with it (I think it's likely that I've only heard it once or twice before, many years ago). I've listened to it a few times today and I really enjoy it! It did confuse me though because it made me doubt Migrate (which I have to admit isn't a major favourite for me, even though it is generally well regarded).

Oh well, whatever will be will be! I hope you all enjoy You Need Me :cheer:

Mariah has redeemed herself in this round, with one of her best results! Overall I'd say these results have been all over the place and quite unpredictable; I certainly find it interesting that BuzzJack gravitated towards some of her album tracks, more so than her major hits!

Grand Final

This isn't particularly clear cut... I need as much help as possible, so I welcome all replies with your suggestions/feedback

Before this activity started, I pencilled in We Belong Together for the final round. I'd say this is a strong choice, what with it being her biggest song of the 21st Century! (It was the biggest song of the 00s decade in the US!). I'm a bit concerned it's going to get overshadowed in this upcoming round though.

Some of you seem eager for All I Want for Christmas Is You to be sent! It is without a doubt her signature hit and most successful song, but... Christmas in August? I'm worried that some voters won't react well to it, or find it hard to rank it amongst "normal songs".

There's still some other viable choices. Without You is her biggest #1 hit in the UK, Hero is one of her most celebrated songs, One Sweet Day was the biggest song of the 90s in the US...

Let me know your thoughts! :D
