Melanie C has just released a brilliant video that was shot under COVID-19 restrictions, so the ongoing pandemic can't be used as an excuse.

Excatly what I was thinking. And Mel probably had 1/10th of the budget Kylie has as well.

The video where she is just standing in an empty school hall having a dancing? Well Mel C got 564k views on YouTube last week. Let's see if Kylie beats it.

Okay, and your point is? What have Mel's views to do with anything. Ofcourse Kylie is going to beat her views, sales and chart positions. I see where you are going and I hate this stanning behaviour, I adore both Mel and Kylie and was just making a point that you can make a good, fun video during corona which, in my opinion, Kylie did not do. Nothing more, nothing less. I still think Say Something is one of the best songs of the year, the video just failed for me whereas I really liked Mel's video. It has charm and fun, but I could have also mentioned other videos that were made during the pandemic. No need to get rude or make fun of other female artists, but that has always been hard for stans on internet forums.

Lol.

I have nothing against anyone. Just because I have Kylie in my name I like everyone. I am far from a Stan like that. I wasn't negative I was interested in what you thought Mel C brought that Kylie didnt

I just don't get what is better about Mel C video than Kylie's. They are totally different, different audiences and music.

Completely different.

I like the video. Yes it isn't high end budget for Kylie but you were very negative about it

It does the job. It gets extra streaming sales that she won't get from music streaming. It allows the song to appear on TV like it did with Lorraine etc. It's an addition to the campaign to sell the song/album/era

I actually like the special effect in the video, I am not crazy about it but when she has light in her hands, she looks like the Statue of Liberty.
I like it, its a fairly cheap video id say but i dont blame them as they know its not for a huge hit but its fun and i enjoyed it.
I really love the theme of the video and compliments the song very well indeed - another success from Kylie who has adapted to the situation we are in to bring more music and videos.
*shrug* I like the video - it's very 70s disco, which is the point. I think the low-budget aesthetic actually works in its favour (look at any 70s disco era music video).
It veers on being a bit too chaotic with the amount of effects used - maybe it could have been toned down a little. However I'm sure gaudiness was the intention, and they've successfully achieved that. I don't love it, but it's decent!
There is some reminders of the one video in it which was also low budget which is fine, but it has enough in it to keep me entertained when watching it.
I’ve watched it a few times now and I must admit it’s stating to grow on me actually, just with the effects were a bit scaled back.
