She's already sold more than last week's #10 had sold! More will probably be needed this week but that's a VERY good figure to be on already

Apparently 4,838 copies sold so far. This means she has already outsold first week sales of Version Of Me (4,084 copies), Stages (2,326 copies), The Sea (3,735 copies) and This Time (4,500 copies)!

She won't hit Beautiful Intentions sales (8,970 copies), but she will certainly outpeak it

Mel is just one copy away from number 3 which is Bon Jovi. I imagine he will be a stronger seller throughout the week though, can certainly see him opening over 10k.

These are the ones above Mel at the minute

#1 Queen

#2 Oasis :o (rabid fanbase!!)

#3 Bon Jovi

'#4 Melanie C

Just bought a copy ..so has she passed Bon Jovi ? Lol

Great start! It's held up well on iTunes over the weekend. Just need a bit of promo to keep it up there through the week.
She's doing great, I'm really hope she can outsell VOM with this album in the UK at least

The album has moved up one place on iTunes UK! :cheer:

A top 5 debut would be amazing. Fingers crossed!

Why does Morning Glory have to be celebrating its 25th anniversary the week Melanie’s album is out. It’s like an ABBA Gold or a Queen’s Greatest Hits, Morning Glory is a classic album and does well on a normal week. Not the best timing.

Even if Melanie dropped out of the Top 5 in the final charts I just want a Top 10

Great sales after just 2 days! She has already outsold last week’s #10 and #9 - that’s kind of frustrating, because she would have been guaranteed a Top 10 peak last week, whereas this week she’s not out of the woods yet, given that there’s a lot of competition... anything could happen.

Time to wheel out a £4.99 CD and iTunes reduction - go Mel :cheer:
DO IT MEL! :w00t:

The standard CD has increased from £9.99 to £11.50 on Amazon today :drama:

Very glad that it's managing to hold onto the Top 10, it helps for visibility

Finally! For the first time ever, Melanie has accumulated more than 1,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify:

Completely forgot to comment on this! I'm so happy to see how improved her streaming has become during this era. The figure has now increased a bit more to 1,045,302.

I just looked back to see what Emma's My Happy Place had sold as of the Sunday midweeks. She was #5 with 3,911. So interestingly Melanie is 927 copies ahead of Emma at this stage.

Another titbit of information is that #3 - #7 in Sunday's mids "are separated by less than 600 units".

A lot will depend on if the main increase from Saturday to Sunday (3.3k -> 4.8k) came from delayed shipping numbers or not. Either way, I'd say she might make 7k+ come the end of the week now. Emma was similarily front loaded and still managed to make 6.6k sold with 900 less copies at this point.

I truly hope she can manage 7k+, that would be a very nice result! With 5 more sales days to be taken into account, I would be surprised if she doesn't at least manage to pass 6k. I'm looking forward to today's midweeks, it should give us a much clearer picture.

I think it'll also depend on if there's any big dispatch increase today - Emma increased 1.1k from Monday to Tuesday, probably because of dispatches being sent from somewhere while she mostly did 300-600 copies sold during the rest of the week. We don't have Emma's Saturday numbers, so we don't know how her numbers looked from Saturday to Sunday.

Today we should at least see if there's any general interest in the album or if she'll end up doing a few hundred copies a day for most of the week.

Hello everyone, I am writing here after many months, I hope you are all well ... I find the Melanie C album fantastic, my expectations, I must admit were not so high ... but, listening to it instead I was struck, there's not a single track to skip, they are all very enjoyable expecially the album tracks in my opinion.

I have always think that The Sea was her best album since Northern Star however I think Melanie C surpassed it.. I hope it all translates into a top 10 peak, it would be really deserved and a huge joy for both Melanie and us fans ... what time is mid-week broadcast today? I tried to download the album in mp3 from both amazon UK and Itunes UK but the transaction from Italy does not go successful. Can you tell me if there's a chance to do it?

what time is mid-week broadcast today?

It will be revealed this evening. Not sure about the exact time.

I think you need a UK address / credit card in order to purchase from iTunes UK.

However, if you download the album from iTunes Italy, you will contribute to the Italian Albums Chart. ;)

The album is up to #7 on iTunes UK! :cheer:

Really happy and quite surprised that the album is staying Top 10 on iTunes and managing to climb.
